Lina and Gourry are walking down a lonely road when suddenly, the ground beneath them opens and they fall. It all happens too quickly for Lina to react and cast Ray Wing. They begin to fall into what seemed like an bottomless pit..but suddenly they both fell with a load thump. Gourry who was unconscious had swirls in his eyes as Lina got up and shook him like a badly behaved child. Gourry wakes up and asks Where are we Lina? Lina turns to Gourry and said I don't know where we are. I guess we need to find a way out here. Gourry looks confused How are we going to get out Lina? Lina growls at Gourry and glares at him.
"Ray wing, of COURSE, Gourry you jellyfish!" Lina whacks Gourry on the head and prepares for Ray wing. "RAY WING!"
Nothing happens. Lina tries and tries again to no avail. Lina fumes. "Damn! Magic doesn't seem to work here!"
"Magic doesn't seem to work anywhere when we're in a tight mess" Gourry grumbled making sure that Lina couldn't over hear his comment. The two were surrounded by a thick, damp blackness that smelled of musty earth and had the eerie atmosphere of some abandoned crypt...
"GET OF THE GROUND GOURRY AND HELP ME LOOK FOR A WAY OUT!!" she yelled.
"Okay Lina" Gourry says! "Just where am I supposed to look for a way out of here."
Just then a familiar figure appears in front of them. "Greetings Lina!" Lina turns around to see Xelloss in front of them.
"Xelloss! What are you doing here?" Lina asks him.
Xelloss smiles and wags his finger. "Sore wa himitsu desu!" Lina falls on her face and facefaults. Gourry looks confused.
"What are you doing here, Xelloss?" Xelloss sweatdrops.
"S...Sore wa..."
Lina grabs Xelloss in a headlock "TELL US NOW YOU UP TO NO GOOD MAZOKU!!!"
"My my my, Lina-san, you need to control your temper."
"Look Xelloss! We have been tricked by you before. So tell us what you are doing here?" Lina asks him.
Xelloss pouts cutely and wags his finger again "Now if I told you that, Lina-san, what enjoyment would I have?"
Lina growls at Xelloss "BY SAVING YOUR NECK AND NOT BEING IN PAIN XELLOSS!!!!"
Xelloss sweatdrops. "now now....no need to bring in threats of violence" Xelloss says trying with all his efforts to pull her from the subject of asking him what he was doing there..
"oh no you don't Xelloss, you're not getting out of this one! Tell me now!"
"I can't tell you why I am here it would take all the fun out it Lina."
Gourry goes over to where Lina and Xelloss are talking. "Hey Lina! quit fighting with xelloss and ask him if he knows a way out of here or not."
"Yes Xelloss do you know a way out here. I can't use my magic."
Xelloss winks at Lina and then at Gourry, then wags his finger again "Sore wa, Himitsu desu!" then he disappears...
Lina stomps her foot in rage... "THAT'S IT!!!!! "FIREBALL~!!!!!!" Nothing happens... "DAMN! I forgot about that!!!"
"You say I'm forgetful" Gourry says...
"WHAT WAS THAT?" Lina asked in a sharp voice..
"um...That damn mozokou was being threatful...yeah"...
"LOOK, that didn't really make sense so I'm gonna pretend I didn't' hear it.."with this lina takes a walk around the pitch black pit.
"There has to be a way out here Gourry. I can't stand it not using my magic. I feel useless." She turns to Gourry who is sitting down sleeping. "GOURRY!" Hits him in the head "Wake Up and help me will you."
"But what can I do to help Lina?" Gourry asks.
Lina growls, "I don't know! Look for help!" Lina who's frustrated at not being able to use magic, AND frustrated at Gourry can't think straight.
Gourry smiles dumbly. "Okay, Lina! ... HELLO IS ANYBODY HERE!?" there is no answer for a few seconds and someone starts laughing from somewhere.
"EH!?!" Lina says turning around quickly.
Suddenly two eyes of yellow glowed from amidst the darkness..."um..Who are you?" Gourry asked more than a little perplexed. "So you want to get out of the BLACK OMEN... he cackles insanely the thing is that no one gets out of the Black Omen...alive anyway not even a sorceress because this pit absorbs all black magic."
"Look I don't know who you are. How do you know this?" Lina asks.
Gourry looks at Lina "well if you can't use black magic then I guess we are stuck here." The yellow eyes brighten as a figure steps up with a lantern in his hand. As he gets closer, Lina and Gourry can see that he is a ............................... moose. Lina and Gourry fall over laughing.
The moose growls "Hey!" Lina continues to laugh out insanely...clutching her painfully hard stomach, she looked at the moose with tear drops damping the side of her eyes from the laughter..."and.. - and who are you again"
"I am the one the only Choc......Choc O'late Moose..." Gourry is totally confused. Lina looks at this moose and says "Why do you know so much about this Black Omen. Is there a way out here at all?"
The moose glares, then finally clears his throat. "That is because.. I'm ... an alchemist!!!"
Lina starts rolling on the floor laughing again. "WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"
The moose sighs:: "I'm speaking the truth! I have been cursed to remain in this form until I got out of this place! You will turn into animals soon!"
"Then why is your name Choc O'late Moose if your not really a moose!!?!" Lina laughed pounding her fists on the ground..
"sigh I was baptized by a chef/Priest" Gourry and Lina began laughing more....THEN suddenly a queasy feeling overwhelmed Their stomachs, and they twisted in pain. What is going on what is this pain that I am feeling Lina says to the moose. Gourry looks at Lina yeah what is going on here. The moose shrugs
"You must be changing." Lina writhes some more and stands up as............................ a red fox, and Gourry stands up as.......... a jellyfish. The moose and Lina laughs at Gourry.
Gourry looks more confused than ever. "The pain's gone! I guess we're okay now, right Lina?" Lina sweatdrops at Gourry.
Lina hung her head in exasperated disappointment...to discover two red paws...."NA-NANI!?!?!" she shouted "what's happened to me?!?! I am turning into a fox."
Gourry looks over at Lina. "I guess we are not okay after all."
The moose sighs. "I guess you have no choice but to join me and the others."
Lina looks at the moose. "Others?" The moose calls to the "others" and out comes a white rabbit with blue eyes, and a very odd looking blue stone hawk.
