Garv turns to Lina says "Will you shut up we have bigger problems to take care of right now."
Lina goes to Garv and says "WHAT IS THE BIG IDEA TELLING ME TO SHUT UP." Just then Phibrizzo appears in front of them.
Garv looks at Lina with an angry look on his face and says "Look what you did your yelling gave us away Lina."
Phibrizzo speaks up "Actually I have been watching you guys for quite sometime now."
Lina and Garv turn to Phibrizzo and says "So what do you want with us."
Phibirzzo thinks to himself "Should I tell them I know their plan." As Lina and Garv waited impatiently for an answer, Phibrizo looked around. He knew he couldn't say anything out of place as long as Zelas' henchmen were watching.
"Your stupid plan won't work, you know. Zelas' henchmen are everywhere."
Garv looked confused. "What!? And why are you telling US that???"
"That's because you're going to die soon. I can destroy you with one blast." He said that half-heartedly. Everyone knew that he could not. Not at his state.
That made Garv even more suspicious. "What are you getting at, Phibrizo???"
"Nothing." Phibrizo was saying something. But what? Garv could not figure it out. Lina was looking from Phibrizo to Garv, puzzled. Phibrizo bit his lip. Then he said something very strange. "Zelas can't find you in the cave south from here." Then he teleported away. Garv looked confused, as he stared at the spot Phibrizo was just a few moment ago.
"Either it's a trap, or he's trying to tell us something... whatever it is, there ARE mazoku spying on us. Look!" Garv pointed at the trees, which concealed lower mazoku. Garv also noted that Filia was gone.
Lina looks up at the trees and says "Come on out we can see you." Just then all the mazoku come down and start attacking Lina and Garv. Garv gets out his sword and starts cutting up the lower mazoku. Lina chants the Ragna Blade and finishes off the rest of them. She looks at Garv and says "Well should we go to the cave Phibrizzo told us about."
Meanwhile the other slayers are still looking for Xelloss. Zel looks around and says "Is there no way out of this forest."
"I can't believe we are lost."
Amelia looks at Zel and says "Calm down if only we would have noticed that sign."
Zel says "Well we didn't and someone forgot to tell us about it."
He turns to give Rezo an evil look. Rezo frowns. "Who was blaming me for being a spy???"
"Well, YOU started it!?" "Started what??"
"STARTED THIS!!!"
"START WHAT???" Amelia sweatdropped. Daluphin tried to calm them down.
Meanwhile, Lina and Garv were walking towards the cave. Lina was still reluctant. "Are you sure we should go there?"
"Well, it couldn't be any worse, could it?"
Lina thought over this for a few minutes. "You're right, Garv." They stepped into the cave, which seemed to be surrounded by a protective energy. Out stepped Phibrizo. "You came."
Garv stepped forward. "What is all this about, Phibrizo??"
"I came to tell you about Zelas' plans."
"What!?" Lina and Garv facefaulted.
"Did you just say that you were going to tell us Zelas' plans?" Lina asked.
"Of course I am Lina." Phibrizzo answered. Garv didn't know what to think. He went over to Phibrizzo and picked him up and said "Look Hellbrat we don't have time for your games so tell us what you are really up right now."
Lina who notices that Garv will probably hurt Phibrizzo yells at him "Will you put him down and calm down please."
"We are not going to get anywhere if you hurt him."
Garv looks at Phibrizzo and says "You just got lucky." He puts Phibrizzo down.
Lina goes to him and says "Like Garv was saying why are you going to tell Zelas' plan don't you work for her."
Phibrizo shook his head. "No I don't. I was only forced to because she kidnapped one of my minions - Seigrahm. BUT he escaped and I have him back, so there is no reason why I should help her in any way anymore!"
Phibrizo winked, and Garv sweatdropped. "WHAT!? So you decided to stick to our side???"
"Yes! I don't have anything against you, Garv! You were nice to me when we had to work under L.O.N.!"
Garv sweatdropped. "Uhhh... Phibrizo? You're a hellbrat. HELLBRAT. H.E.L.L. - "
Lina cut Garv off. "In other words, you shouldn't be doing nice things."
Phibrizo pouted. "Hmph! So, you're saying I should go side with Zelas!? I hate Zelas! She shaves her face each morning!"
Garv and Lina fell over. Lina stood up stiffly while Garv remained on the ground recovering from the imagery. "Okay, there are some things that we DON'T and I really, Really.....REALLY mean DON'T need to know."
"Just how do you know that anyway?" Garv demanded finally standing up.
"Uhhh...I...guessed...yes that's it."
Lina arched an eyebrow. "IT'S NOT IMPORTANT! Anyway the point of the matter is that we're on the same side. We both want to get rid of Zelas, and I can help you with your little plan here after all."
"What exactly could you do for us."
"If you offer to become mazoku, what's to stop Zelas from just transforming you on the spot? Its not like this idiot here can handle her at the moment. Especially not if she knows he's there."
Lina laughed. "Oh let's stop talking about it and get to DOING something." the mazoku watched the little red head tap her feet impatiently and swallowed.
Lina looked toward Filia with a curious expression. "I'm with Lina, let us get on with this little adventure and get on with our lives. And I'm certain that Phibrizzo can be of assistance."
Filia was supporting a dark lord, and had been almost murderous before."Umm..Filia? Is something wrong?" Lina asked curiously.
Filia gave Lina a confused look and shook her head in the negative. "What makes you think that Lina?"
Lina shrugged and looked toward everyone else. "Well, where to? Are we going right into Zelas' place, or are we going to just sit out here until we rot?"
Garv and Phibrizzo were still staring each other down, but Garv broke the staring contest to look at Lina as he answered, "Well, I say we get moving! If we decide to not go through with it, then we can decide before we get there, right?"
Phibrizzo sighed. "Wouldn't it be easier if we just transported?"
Meanwhile Lina and the others were trying to figure out what to do. The other slayers were still stuck in the forest. Zel was getting upset and says "We are never going to find Xelloss if we can't even find our way out of this forest."
Gourry in the meantime had found a tree and was leaning against taking a nap.
Amelia goes over to Zel and says "Well it is getting dark and we need to sleep besides Gourry is already asleep." They turn to look at Gourry who is sleeping. Zel sighs and agrees with her.
"Alright we camp here tonight but tomorrow we are getting out of this forest." Zel says. Sometime in the middle of the night the slayers in the forest were roused by several cries coming from elsewhere in the woods. As they sleepily cleared their eyes a young woman and two young men went screaming past them. One of the men carried some sort of box with wheels and the woman carried a smaller box of similar design. Zelgadis scratched his head irritably.
"What are they doing?" Gourry asked. Amelia gasped and jumped into the branches of a near by tree.
"They must be running from some vile creature of darkness and we must help them!" At this point some hair, levitating thing hovered into camp and roared at them. When there was no noticeable reaction the creature roared again. The slayers shrugged. The creature was then struck by a salvo of magical effects. The creature was reduced to ash and carried away on the wind.
Then the slayers yawned and went back to sleep as cries of "JOSH WHERE'D YOU GO!?!" split the night.
"I wonder if there are more of those things?" Martina asked.
Zelgadiss sighed. "More than likely, I'd have to say."
"We must fight them to bring true justice to this forest! It must be banished of all monsters and demons of the night! We NEED to get rid of - " Amelia stood on a soapbox and began her speech only to have it ended suddenly when Martina pushed her box over.
"Oh, stop the speeches, we have to get moving! I know I don't want to fight them all, and I doubt anyone besides you wants...to...fight...." Martina stopped speaking as she was suddenly in a shadow of a VERY large beast. She swallowed loudly and looked around to see Zelgadiss and Gourry just leaning against a trees and smiling at her.
"How you going to get out of that one, Martina?" Amelia asked mockingly as she brushed herself off.
"Umm..you..ah..well, you will help me?" She ended with a squeak as the beast picked her up and roared in her face. "EWWWWWWWWWWW!! YOUR BREATH STINKS!! GET ME DOWN FROM HERE!! PLEASE?!!" Martina cried desperately, waving a hand frantically in front of her face.
Gourry and Zelgadiss sighed in unison and picked up their swords. "Guess we gotta help, ne?" Zelgadiss asked. Amelia nodded and began to chant the words for Rah Tilt.
While the others were fighting Rezo goes off on his own to look for a way out of this forest. Zel and Gourry get ready to fight but Amelia's Rah Tilt wipes out the monster.
"Good Work Amelia", Zel says. Gourry looks around and notices that Rezo is no longer there. Zel turns to see that also.
"Great Rezo is gone, Gourry says. He turns to Zel and says "What do we do go look for him?" Zel and Amelia nod yes.
But then Amelia asks "What if Rezo comes back here and we are gone."
Zel turns to her upset "Well its his own fault for go off on his own."
"Besides do we really need him anyway?"
