"Hey Lina," Gourry pointed to the opening door. "If Garv went out that door, who's coming through that one?"
"Nothing we want to meet," Zelgadis grumbled.
"Damn it, there's not enough time!" Lina grumbled as Phibrizzo walked in smiling.
"My, my, you are all so predictable," he chuckled quietly. "And now, here you are, in my hands just like I said you'd be."
"Villain!" Amelia shouted. "You have not defeated us yet, and we still have Justice on our side."
"Forget Justice, the monster...ZomalGUstar guides my hand, and he shall bring me vengeance for ripping me away from my happy home." quick flashback of her ordering Zangulus around
"You two are so amusing," Phibbrizzo chuckled. "But you're little fantasies are no concern to me."
"But I'll bet you haven't yet recovered all your strength," Lina pointed out, chuckling.
"I suppose that's why you posed as a fellow victim in the first place," Zelgadis added
"Recover? Did you have a cold or something?" Gourry asked. Everybody facefaulted.
"He was DEAD Gourry!!" Lina shouted.
"Oh, then he's lucky to be doing anything."
"It doesn't really matter does it," Phibrizzo said bored. "Even weakened you need Garv, and he provided me quite the distraction to split you up. Now perhaps we can get this pointlessness over with?"
Lina looks to the others with a little bit of concern on her face. Then she turns to Phibrizzo and says "Well now that you split us up what exactly are you planning to do with us."
Phibrizzo has a evil look on his face and says "Well of course I am going to kill you all now that I got Garv out of the way."
Zel at him and says "You are not going to kill us that easily you know."
"We'll see about that," Phibrizzo answered. He extended his hands forward summoning a bundle of black, shadowy tendrils that ripped forward at the slayers.
"Hey, those things look familiar!" Gourry shouted as he severed through three of the attacking tendrils.
"FIREBALL!" Lina's spell incinerated what tendrils it could touch. "Idiot that's what he kidnapped you with before!"
"ASTRAL VINE!!" Zelgadis's magical weapon scattered what darkness neared him. And that left only...
"BRAM BRAZER!!!" Everybody ducked as the wave of blue white tore over them and into Phibrizzo's spell. What little of the room hadn't been destroyed by Lina's fireball was torn to pieces by Amelia's spell. Suddenly, all three spell casters found it necessary to cast levitation to slow their descent to the floor below. While Gourry and Martina merely dropped.
"If that doesn't get Garv's attention," Lina shouted.
"I'm sure something else already has it," Phibrezzo chuckled.
Meanwhile Garv continue on his journey to find Auntie Aqua and he had no idea what kind of trouble Lina and the others were in. Although he had a feeling that something was wrong. He thought to himself "Did Phibrizzo send me out here to get me out of the way so he could get to Lina."
"That hell thing can not be trusted." So Garv then decides to head back to where he left Lina and the others but before he could. The first attack came out of the astral plane, somebody slicing into his side as his unseen foe passed into the physical world. The pain was significant enough for him to be concerned about his opponent's power, even if it healed quickly enough. "My, my," he looked to see the wrinkled old form of Auntie Aqua. "You certainly must not want to 'prove your worth' as much as you said."
"Heh," Garv laughed. "Don't bother with the disguise, that's a mazoku trick you pulled."
"In fact, other than me," Garv continued. "I only know of one other mazoku who knows it. You're still no match for me Xellos."
"There are two others, actually," Auntie Aqua answered, her voice and form growing. "Who do you think taught it to him?" Garv found himself facing Zelas Metallium.
"And where's your boy now?"
"Sore wa himitsu desu," the Beastmaster laughed.
"Now I see where he gets the habit," Garv laughed as drew his sword and launched a blast at the other Dark Lord. Zelas raised a shield to block it, grunting with the effort. Garv was still regaining his full strength after his resurrection, bet he was still a Dark Lord, and still fully capable of harming her. If she let him.
"You're healing nicely," Zelas sniped as she launched a barrage of energy blasts. She watched as the demon dragon batted each attack away, but noted the grunt of effort that came with each deflection. To her surprise he leaped up while half of the barrage was still in the air. Several of the remaining blasts struck him but he plowed through while the element of surprise remained and swiped his sword across at the stunned dark lord above him. Both dark lords crashed to the ground, injured and panting.
Garv who is weak from the battle with Zelas is the first to his feet. Then Zelas gets up and the two of them glare at each other. Garv breaks the silence and says "You haven't gotten rid of me yet."
Zelas looks at him and says "Well I did hurt you enough that it will take you longer to get to back to Lina and by then Phibrizzo will have already killed them."
Garv is in shock after hearing this and said "So you wanted to get me out of the away well I can't let you kill me." He then picks up his sword and begins running at Zelas. Zelas tries to move out of the away but is hit before she can disappear into the astral plane. Garv says "It will take more than you to defeat me."
Zelas looks at him with a evil grin on her face and says "You think so."
"Well I think you might be right Garv."
"But I've fulfilled my end of the bargain," she added. "Phibby will have to return what's mine now." Zelas grabbed the sword and ripped it out of her body. Blasting Garv away as she did so. Before the massive mazoku could regain his feet, she vanished retreating for parts unknown.
"Damn Metalliums," he grumbled. Snatching up his sword and taking to the air. Blink teleporting to speed the way. Lina and the others had taken to a hit and run tactics. Lina was fed up with the hit and run tactics.
She got up and said "Look Phibrizzo the only one you are after is me am I right."
Phibrizzo answers "Of course it is."
Zel turned to Lina and asked "What are you doing Lina?" Lina answers "I am trying to give Garv sometime to get back here and help us out."
Phibrizzo overhears the conversation and says "What makes you so sure that he will get back here?"
Lina looks at him "What do you mean by that?"
"Well if you must know Zelas probably has finished him off by now so you are all mine Lina Inverse!" Phibrizzo said. Just after he said Amelia spots something big in the air heading toward there position.
"Lina look at that Who is it?" Amelia asked.
Then all of sudden Lina has a smile on her face "Its Garv!"
Garv swoops down and attacks Phibrizzo with a powerful enough spell to knock him over. "C'mon Lina! Everyone! Lets get out of here for now!" Garv grabs Lina and flies away with her tucked under one arm. Zel grabs Gourry and Amelia grabs Martina. As they flew away, Phibrizzo laughed and brushed the dust from his clothes.
"Good job Garv." They fly to the north, towards the caves they were previously at. "What took you so long Garv?" asked Lina.
"Well, Lina, it wasn't just Phibrizzo we have to fight, its also Zelas."
Lina looks at Garv and says "Well we had a little trouble of our own as well." Garv looks at her with a angry look on his face. Zel notices that Garv had been in fight with someone.
"Garv who were you fighting with?" Zel asked.
Garv turns to him and says "Zelas and she is tough."
Lina looks at the group and says "Well guys we have a big battle. So what do you guys say we rest here for awhile and come up with plan to stop Phibrizzo and Zelas."
Everyone is agreement except for Garv. "Hey Lina I think we should go after them now." Garv says.
Lina looks at him and says "You are in no condition to fight right now so lets wait."
Garv realizes she is right and agrees to wait. The group heads toward the cave that they split up at. Garv sets Lina down before he collapses.
"What can we do?" cried Lina. Zel uses Recovery on him to help heal the wounds incurred from his battle with Zelas.
"Geez..how did he get away and help us with this much damage?" Zel wondered to himself, not wanting to worry the group. Once Zel healed Garv completely, the group sat together to think of a plan on how to kill Phibrizzo.
"Garv, you talked to Zelas, right? What did she have to say?" Amelia asked.
"Zelas? Who is Zelas?" Gourry asked, confused.
"ZELAS IS TRYING TO KILL US YOU IDIOT!" Lina yelled when she hit Gourry over the head.
Garv looked at Amelia, "Well, I believe that she wants us dead."
Lina looks at Garv and says "Well of course she does and I guess that is why Phibrizzo is trying to kill us."
Zel is still trying to figure how Garv got back to them so fast since he took a lot of damage from Zelas. It was getting dark and cold. "Lets light a fire and sleep here tonight."
"I don't think anything will happen to us tonight." Lina says.
They gang settles down for the night, and the fire burns to embers as Zel takes the first watch. He was unprepared for the group of goblins headed his way. Two broke through the cave walls, effectively waking everyone up and causing rocks to fall on Amelia and Gourry, knocking them unconcious. "ASTRAL VINE!" Zel called out, unsheathing his sword, prepared to attack. Lina woke up with a start with the first pebble being dropped to the floor and rolled out of reach, hitting Garv with her spinning. They both stand up and look around.
"Whats going on?" Garv asked of Lina. Lina at that point noticed the group of goblins only 10 feet away.
"Quick! We have to help Zel!!" Lina called toward Garv as she ran toward the front lines to help Zel. Lina and Garv get to the front lines and prepare to fight the goblins. Lina asks Zel "Where did they come from anyway?"
Zel answers "I am not really sure." Lina looks around notices that Gourry and Amelia had been knocked out. She gets her sword out and prepares to fight the goblins.
Garv looks at Lina and says "These goblins came from Zelas."
