This is a yaoi fic (Zel/Xel) and the song is One of Us by A*Teens from their CD The Abba Generation. It's the product of my current insomia.

All of those great romances
Zel in a Romeo outfit by a tower. Xel comes out wearing a dress and starts screaming "Zelgadis, Zelgadis wherefore art thou Zelgadis?" Cats yowl and the neighbors throw large objects at his head.
You were a fool loving me
Zel is driving a old VB with Xel next to him. Filia and baby Val drive by. Val makes faces at Xel through the window. Xel get's made and does the same thing. People driving past move away.
I'm ride full of chances
Zel and Xel at an amusement park riding a rollor costar, screaming like fan girls.
Life is so clear
Close up on Xel under water. Then he sticks his head out and he's in a kidde pool. Zel sits in a lawn chair and sweatdrops.
Everythin' seems so easy
Zel and Xel watching "Titanic" snuggling on the coach. Zel says that this is a very dumb movie, and the fruitcake agrees and pounches on him. The lamp goes out.
And so I doubt you would go
Zel and Xel are walking somewhere and Xel steps into the road and nearly get's run over by a car, screams and jumps into Zel's arms. He blushes 34 shades of red while Xel grins. Then Zel drops him and continues walking.
One of Us had to go
Xel watches Zel walk off and looks sad, his grin fading.
Now it's different I don't think so though
Zel trys to bleech his skin. When he's done he looks like something that died 5 times. Xel trys to assure him he looks fine, which he doesn't.
One of is cryin'
Zel is taking a morning jog and Xel follows, catches up, but trips. He crys Usagi style tears until Zel helps him up...then Xel glomps him and in turns get's punted to the Moon. Romio comes up to him, sweatdrops and leaves.
One of us is lyin' in lonely bed
Zel, in his room, covered in random posters and wearing a black t-shirt, lying in bed looking at a picture of him and Xel looking overly hyper. He sighs and goes to sleep.
Starin' at the ceiling
Xel sits at a desk writing something. The garbage beside him is overflowing with crumpled paper. He throws another one in and stares at the ceiling, lookng angry. He breaks the mode and comments that he needs to paint the ceiling.
Wishing (s)he was somewhere else instead
Zel stares at an add for a Hawiian vacation for a couple. He imagines himself and Xel on a beach looking cool by the ocean. He blushes and crumples the add.
One of us is lonely
Xel in bed. He glances at the clock. 3 am. He sighs and sees Zel's face in the paint on the ceiling. He pulls the sheets over his head.
One is us is souly waiting for a call
Xel is sitting by his phone, a pink Hello Kitty one, glaring at it. He trys to send phyic messages to Zel. He fails and finally desicides to go watch some Salior Moon.
Sorry for how (s)he'll be feeling small
Zel finds a Xel doll under his bed. He pulls the little string on it's back and it's says "Sore wa Himitsu Desu" over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over....
Wishing (s)he had never left at all
Zel get's a postcard that says "Wish you were here from Xel". He facefaults noting that the address is from across town.
I saw myself as a concelled attraction
Xel outside a mall (1) in a ring master suite yelling "See the amazing blue guy with stuff on his face only $5!!" Zel comes out and hits him. Xel grins like an idoit.
I felt you keep me away
Zel is standing by a wall at a club looking sexy and cool, and Xel is dancing very spazily (2) and tells the chimera to come dance with him. Zel ignores him...that is until Xel drags him onto the floor and makes him dance.
From the heat and the action
Zel and Xel at a pool. Xel convinces Zel they should go on the slide. When they get to the top Xel pushes him down. And Zel is at the bottom in about 2 seconds flat.
Just like a child,
Xel eating cotton candy that is all over his face. He grins like an idoit at Zel, who pretends he doesn't know him.
Stuborn and misconcieving
Zel wakes up, hears birds singing, and descides to go back to bed. That is until he relizes Xel is next to him stroaking his hair. He freaks and kicks Xel out of the house.
That's how I started the show
On the "Wheel of Fortun" set, Zel as Pat Sejack and Xel as Vanna White, glomped onto his arm. Adience blinks.
One of us had to go
Xel and Zel at the airport.
"Why are we here?" Zel ask.
"Because we had nothing to do!!" He drags Xel off to annoy the staff.
Now I've changed and I want you do know
Zel is mad about something and Xel says he'll change. Zel comments that he could never change and he doesn't want him to and hugs Xel, who looks confussed and happy at the same time.
One of is cryin'
Zel and Xel are channel surfing...seeing nothing but soap opears. Xel suggests they watch "The Secret Garden". No response from the chimera.
One of us is lyin' in lonely bed
Zel reads by flashlight (3). He sees Xel's face in his mind.
Starin' at the ceiling
Xel stares at the ceiling, tracing the lines on it. Most of them come out as Zel's face. The rest come out as versions of the Mona Lisa. He mumbles he's been reading too many art books.
Wishing (s)he was somewhere else instead
Zel and Xel wishing on the same star. They relize it's a plane and facefault.
One of us is lonely
Zel talking to Val over AIM. He looks like he's about to tell Val what's been going on when AIM kicks him off. He hits the computer with a pole. It sweatdrops.

Xel and Zel talking over the phone. Zel sweres about how is how no coffee and how he's upset. Xel sweatdrops.
Sorry for how (s)he'll be feeling small
Zel running around the house trying to squash a bunch of chibi Xel's with a fly swatter who are all giggling "Sore wa himitsu desu". Xel laughs his ass of and Zel wacks him with fly swatter.
Wishing (s)he had never left at all
Later on Xel is leaving Zel's house. They both seem reluctent to part. Xel waves and walks off.

Zel on a big hill looking at the puffy clouds. He leans a little downward and acciently rolls down the hill, screaming the whole way.

Both staring at the phone, praying that the other one calls them.

Xel show up at Zel's door. They both look overjoyed to see each other. Xel embraces him.

They hug and then slowly kiss for a long time as the screen fades out.
