Two unknown players move their pawns in dances forever unknown to the pieces. A golden light shines over the battle field as Black and White battle for control. Sacrifices are made, pawns and rooks and even nights fall in rapid pace. No check remains for long, as the referee forbids it, the gold-hued pawns moving like a queen to disrupt the game. Neither player ever wins, but the game must be played, for the referee demands it, and cannot be denied. Dancing pawns, in and out, never knowing the truth or the game, or the ones who play. No blood on this earthen board. Black and White no longer know; why or when they began, or if they have always been this way, but the game has never ended and will never end.
