I tried very hard to make this a purist Fanfiction, it takes place directly after Slayers Try although the problem has been brewing since Slayers Next hence the prologue. Mostly a serious fic were an elder race seeks to upset the balance of the slayers world. As usual Lina lands right in the middle of it.
Warning. This story contains heterosexuals, that means male/female pairings if you are offended by this don't continue reading.
Extra Stuff
What the characters are doing at the start I mostly built off the credits to the last Slayers Try. If they mention the past or something very definite that is in one of the episodes somewhere. If you want to know why Zel is acting that way it's because he doesn't mind everyone's company in Slayers Try like he does in Slayers Next so to be a purist I had to reflect that. Since they don't mention much about the Lord of Nightmares in the series I made up what seemed to fit with her character. Just in case you don't know it is possible to tell that Xelloss is a demon (the Japanese word Mazoku has been translated as both monster and demon and, I like demon better.) In the first episode he shows up if you've seen the first movie. When Joyrock teleports Lina says that that must mean that he is a demon, and since Xelloss teleports to steal the Claire Bible and a observant member of my Anime group deduced this when I showed the episode. If you want to know she told Hallas she was fifteen in the first series, then said she'd been traveling with Gourry for a year and a half in Next, then Slayers Try happened awhile after that probably putting her at seventeen, this story starts a year later. As for legal stuff the slayers don't belong to me blah.
Prologue
Chaos is without direction. Any purpose is direction, which is order. If chaos were to follow a structured plot, to plan it would be ordered it would contradict its very existence. So chaos existed, it dreamed, occasionally, on whim it spun off worlds, created gods and demons, destroyed gods and demons, listened and waited for nothing in particular. Until once the stillness of infinity was broken by a voice that mindlessly challenged all things for the sake of another, and through his mind and the bond with she who was taken and destroyed the emotionless void saw love and then understood love and for love chaos created, not from whim but, with purpose. An ordered design that was already set and the source of chaos did what chaos does not do; it followed the pre-made design. Now two who have waited for eons for a breach in the power of the all mother chaos begin to move.
It had been one year sine the battle with Darkstar. Lina and Gourry still traveled together in search of treasure, food, and a way to boost Lina's ego. Lina could no longer say she was with him just o get the sword of light since it was now gone, somewhere in another world. Not that Gourry would remember why she originally said she would stay with him but she was through fooling herself. They sometimes walked arm and arm, very innocently; he might be holding a chicken leg in the other hand. They didn't talk about it either, they just know knew what everyone else had known about them for a long time.
They moved at random, fighting bandits and taking odd jobs; so they didn't think much when an avalanche blocked one road and chance put them on the road to Seyruun.
Amelia let the wind stir her hair as it gusted over the castle. The winter was starting to end, in the day snow would melt then the night would cool and the snowmelt would become ice. Most of the city looked like a plate of glass.
She had grown in the year that followed her last great adventure; the women in her family tended toward height. She was equal in size to most of the men in the castle and had not stopped growing yet.
That was only physical, her mother had given her height and her father had given her a mental lack of it. She still possessed her childlike enthusiasm and idealism. She walked straightforward eyes up, never down. Which is a very bad habit when the ground is covered in ice and the footing is treacherous. Had she not been a white magic user she would've been ankle to eyebrow bruises before noon.
She looked at her one remaining bracelet, then thought of where the other one was.
"I wonder if I'll see him again."
Zelgadis happened to be on the road that ran past Seyruun. He had been traveling alone for some time; recently he had stopped at the village where Fillia ran her pottery and mace shop with Jiras and Grabos. Valgaav's egg had hatched recently; he would learn how to fly in a matter of months. There was some worry about the small house and food bills because he would be nearly full-grown before he would learn how to change to human form; Fillia's form was still not perfect.
She still had suddenly remembered an ancient temple the gold dragons had protected that was abandoned in the western forests. It had been sealed to non-dragons before but that hardly seemed to matter anymore. Being the last of the gold dragons she gave permission to enter. Not that she would have stopped him by refusing to give him permission.
Lina and Gourry had reached Seyruun and having been invited to dinner by Amelia were currently eating out the castle's supply of food. They had not even really spoken yet, as far as Lina was concerned food came before anything else.
A servant came in and announced that someone was here to see Amelia. Amelia left Lina and Gourry to their meal and went to see who it was. Only to return a few minutes later happily dragging Zel by the arm.
Zel had only come to say a brief hello to Amelia and was surprised to see Lina and Gourry there. Neither of them would be talking for awhile since there was still quite a bit of food left; so he talked to Amelia. She had grown quite a bit since the last time he had seen her.
Of course once they had found out that he was on another quest they had to come along. He didn't really mind but by force of habit,
"You guys don't have anything better to do?"
"No, it's not like that at all." Lina started to say holding her hands in front of her.
"Nothing is more important than helping a friend in need. For the sake of love and justice it is our duty to go!" Lights from nowhere sprang up around her and the air filled with flowers as Amelia leapt up to pose on the table. The moment was ruined by the arrival of more food. Any other sound that might have heard at that time was drowned by the sounds of Lina and Gourry attacking the food like starving Piranhas.
"I'm really hungry but I'm afraid if I reach for something I'll lose a hand." Amelia Sighed.
"It must be hard on you Amelia." Zel sympathized.
They were on the road the next morning. Amelia had spent almost the whole night trying to put her official duties on hold for awhile. The weather had changed from quasi-winter to early spring. The snow was almost gone and the ice was braking up. The trees were even sprouting buds. After the first day on the road, the peace of the day was broken only by the sound of the natural enemy of all who lives shrieking in anger.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS NO FOOD LEFT?!"
"It's not my fault the food fell out when I was practicing my flips! And why was I carrying all the baggage?"
"DON'T TRY TO CHANGE THE SUBJECT!!"
"Can't breath."
"Uh, excuse me?"
Lina looked up from where she held Amelia in a headlock; the others looked over to see a young girl who stood by the edge of the road. She did not look more than twelve years old. She was tall for her apparent age and slender. She wore a sleeveless red dress tied with a cord and a cloak of the same color. Her skin was a rich chocolate brown, while her was midnight black held in a ponytail at the top of her head by a golden band. Her eyes, which held a look of curiosity and innocence, were a brilliant gold.
"Do you want some food? I have some over there at my..." She was unable to finish her sentence because Lina, Gourry and, Amelia had gone the instant she gestured towards her campsite. Zel shrugged and followed them. The girl turned to the direction they had gone and followed after a few moments. All her food was gone when she reached her camp a few seconds later.
"So what's your name?"
"My name is Adra." The girl answered cheerfully "What's yours?"
"I am the sorcery genius Lina Inverse."
"Hi. I'm Amelia, and these two are Mr. Gourry and Mr. Zelgadis."
"Hello."
"Miss Adra it was very just of you to help poor hungry travelers by sharing your own food supplies. Heaven always smiles on the righteous!"
"Thank you Amelia." Adra said happily as if bright showers of color were the most normal things in the world.
Amelia was beaming with joy glad that someone had taken one of her speeches seriously.
"Why are you out here all alone?" Asked Lina.
"Oh, I'm not alone, Tadde is with me. He just left to get some firewood."
"Who?"
"Tadde, he takes care of me now. He's really nice. We travel allot."
It was at this time that an aged man entered the camp carrying a bundle of wood.
"There is no food left?" Was the first thing he said, without anger or suprise but with the gentleness of a person long accustomed to patience. Still,
"It was very good." Lina, Amelia, and Gourry said in unison looking very embarrassed.
The party continued down the road. Adra and Tadde had come along with them. Apparently they did not have a particular destination in mind they just traveled; the slayers had had worse company over the years. They were actually pleasant people to be around. Adra was a very cheerful and helpful person, while Tadde was silent and patient like a person who is a grandfather to anyone who needs help.
It was awhile before they reached the temple buried deep within the forest. The gate had disintegrated with time. The inside of the temple seemed miraculously untouched by the eons of time that weighed down on the small structure. It was very small one big vaulted room was all it consisted of. The walls were covered in ancient pictograms. Two rune covered pillars stood against the far wall with a fanged face carved above them. The only thing on the floor was a stone altar in the center of the room, a book bound in red leather sat upon it.
Lina grabbed the book instantly.
"Miss Lina, you shouldn't just grab things you're so greedy! That's unjust!" Amelia yelled indignantly.
"Come on Amelia, Fillia gave us permission to enter didn't she? This temple belongs to her since she's the only golden dragon now."
"Technically she only gave me permission since you weren't there at the time." Zel said calmly but' wisely shut up when Lina glared dragon slaves at him. Lina was about to open the book when the ground shook.
"What's happening?!" yelped Lina.
"Let's get out of here before the roof caves in."
They ran from the temple to a suprisingly calm, day outside.
"Huh? Wasn't the ground just shaking?" Gourry asked completely dumbfounded.
"Apparently it was just the temple." Zel said monotone.
"Well who cares? We got the book." Exclaimed Lina "That's the only thing that was in there anyway." She was about to open the book yet again when she was stopped by a growling noise.
"I'm really hungry." Gourry said holding his stomach.
"So am I."
"There's only one thing that's important now."
Serious nod.
"FOOD!"
It was said that the dust didn't settle for days. Zel sighed. Adra giggled.
From the shadows a watcher smiled and then vanished.
It was the next day before they had a chance to look at the book. It took quite a bit of deciphering. It turned out to be a way to translate the pictograms from the temple for the most part; then in the back of the book something was written in the pictograms.
"We need to translate what this says." Zel said impatiently.
"Let's do it when we get to a town with an inn, I want baths and food and soft beds!" Lina declared loudly in a voice that allowed no arguments.
They had been in town for days when they finally translated the full text. The writing seemed to be an old prophecy. That it the way of prophecies was completely incoherent to the people reading it until they had already finished the prophesized quest and run into all the danger that the prophecy would have warned them about if it hadn't been so cryptic.
In the beginning there was chaos and the void, but the void was not thoughtless, it lived. As golden waves pulsed outward causing the eternal expansion that made her infinite the chaos dreamed. Other creatures were there almost as old, not nearly as powerful. They possessed incorporeal forms. The chaos dreamed terrible dreams over which she was lord and, dreamed of form. From those dreams and those random thoughts four worlds began, and the gods, demons and, life from these worlds were created. The elder ones watched.
The gods and the demons were like the elder ones; incorporeal astral beings. Made of magic and their own alignment, these creatures could lie to each other and themselves, and feel emotions. Their purpose was to build their forces and fight until the last race, the truly material race became the strongest, although this purpose was also a whim based on dreams.
The Elder one called Shadowlord Avvanon and The called She who is yet to be named continued to exist even when the elder ones stopped existing through boredom, when they stopped thinking they stopped existing. The two, who remained, remained as addicts. They watched the creatures of the chaos worlds, drinking in the exotic and strong things the creature were capable of feeling. Good or bad any sensation was good to a race that felt nothing by themselves. Who could only feel what they absorbed. They sought to prevent the event that would raise humans above all to continue their addiction to human thoughts. Until once, Avvanon absorbed an emotion that confused him and before he forgot it he fathered a human child who will destroy him one day and take his power. When she has done this nothing save the Golden lord will hold power like hers.
Regardless the one yet to be named waits for the golden lord to make one mistake of order, to lower her defense just enough to derail the plans formed in dreams and make a long temporary cycle eternal. Her mistake would be one like the one Avvanon made, only she had already had children, this last child would change her because this child had already lived and the child must be remade to fit her memories not just reborn. She who is yet to be named would kill this one and break the power of the Lord by using something the Lord felt that it never should have. Love. To destroy her only love and make the mother of all things close up and leave the world that broke her heart because love brings the greatest joy and also the greatest sorrow.
"What does that mean?" Lina asked aloud, I couldn't make sense of it.
"Shit, another useless search." Zel sulked until he realized that Adra was staring at him. "What do you want?" he asked not liking her steady gaze.
"Hmmm." Was all she said. Then suddenly reached out her hand and slammed the palm of her hand against his forehead. A flash of magical energy pulsed down her whole form. Then cleared, she turned and sat down next to Tadde. Zel just sat there completely stunned. When he lifted his hand to brush his face they were not stone anymore. The others looked at him shocked.
Except Amelia who was absolutely delighted, "Mr. Zelgadis!" she exclaimed.
He just sat there as if the world around him didn't exist; and then tears ran down his face but he didn't say a word. When they had recovered enough to look at Adra she was asleep against Tadde's arm.
Tadde had put Adra in her bed at the inn. They all sat down at a table at the farthest corner table of the dining room.
"How did that girl do that?" Lina asked first "How does she have so much power at such a young age?"
"How old do you think Adra is?" Tadde asked looking at the table.
"Well she looks about twelve."
Tadde shook his head slowly. "I have been taking care of Adra for forty-seven years. She washed ashore in my village five thousand years ago. We don't know how old she was then because she doesn't age physically or mentally. Any experience that would make her mature seems to disappear from her mind like wounds do from her body. All we know about her is she has such tremendous power, that she can't lie, and that she always seems to know what people are thinking." He sat there while Lina and Amelia stared at him.
"You really don't know where she comes from?"
"No, we don't even know what her real name is, Adra is a name we gave her. What I don't understand is why she can't remember. I told you she regenerates all wounds she receives, so if she was hit in the head she should have healed and she wouldn't have amnesia."
"She can't lie; that sounds like something that was in the book we just found." Lina said thoughtfully.
"Wait a minute!" Gourry said suddenly "If Adra came to Tadde's village five thousand years ago that means that..... She is really, really old!"
Everyone hit the ground, and Lina hit Gourry in the head.
"Anyway, lets go back to the temple where we found the book. Maybe now that we can translate the pictograms on the wall we can find out more about this legend, maybe it has something to do with her." Lina continued.
The next day they set out again on the road back to the temple. Adra skipped ahead of the others seemingly oblivious to the fact that they were making this trip because of her, or at least she gave no sign that she had noticed. Zel was uncharacteristically cheerful, when he wasn't self-conscious he had a very reckless personality, he was cute too but only Amelia seemed to care much about that. However more open or not he was still shy, much to her disappointment. Tadde just walked along quietly, occasionally running his hands through his gray hair. He only smiled when Adra spoke to him. Lina and Gourry seemed the same as always.
They had made camp on the first day when Adra, who had been lying down suddenly jerked up. The others watched as she slowly turned her head from side to side looking around. Then she turned to Lina, "There's someone watching us. Someone who knows you." She paused a moment "He seems very upset that I know he's there and he planning to show himself now." She had only just finished when Xelloss appeared in the camp. He gave Adra an odd look, then changed to his usual expression.
"Well hello everyone, I was just passing by and I thought I'd say hello."
"He's lying."
"Gkk" he gave Adra a dirty look.
"Yes." She said flatly.
"Huh?" Gourry said confused.
"I was talking to him Gourry." Adra said gesturing to Xelloss, "I mean yes I can read his mind."
"It doesn't matter." yelled Lina, who had already distracted him by putting him in a headlock, Amelia had the strangest feeling of deja vu "did you think we'd fall for your stupid antics?! Now what are you up to?"
He teleported from he grasp causing her to fall on her face. "It's a secret." he said cheekily. Everyone turned to Adra.
"He's here because he doesn't know what I am either."
"Stop that!" he yelled reaching an indignant falsetto he had only had before when Lina had jumped on his head "It really is a secret!"
"No it isn't you just don't know." Adra turned to him "If you do what you're thinking of doing I'll tell then how you feel about that dragon lady."
"Gkk." Xelloss retreated to the edge of the camp and sat there in a patch of storm cloud black, muttering to himself.
Adra went over to Zel to mention that Xelloss was very unhappy that he was so happy now. Zel had to smirk.
They were several days closer to the temple; Xelloss had disappeared again, when they suddenly felt a presence around them. As soon as they noticed it, it attacked. The next few seconds were like slow motion. A black shape poured out from the trees forming a clawed hand from its body. Tadde was struck down in an instant.
"Tadde!" Adra screamed falling to her knees next to him. He was already dead. "NOOO!" she sat there helplessly, next to his body.
The others were preoccupied with fighting the thing as it came at them like a wave of living shadow. It shifted from one spot to another like paper blown in the wind, changing it's size as it went, one moment the size of a cat then the next it towered over the trees. It seemed insubstantial but wherever it touched someone it cut like a razor. Gourry was knocked across the road, while Amelia desperately tried to cast a healing spell. Lina just tried to dodge, the thing attacked to fast for her to cast any of her spells. Zel tried every spell he could think of, black magic wouldn't work and the thing shrugged off shamanist magic like it was nothing.
"Rah Tilt!" he tried but' the thing didn't even glance in his direction, it just kept Tearing at Lina. It seemed almost hopeless.
Then a sense of power filled the air making it ripple as if there was some great heat somewhere nearby. Adra stood and glared at the thing, her eyes brimming with tears. Her hands were held in fists at her side.
"Die." she said quietly raising one of her hand straight in front of her. There was no smoke, no flash of light. The thing disappeared as if it never was, the only evidence Remaining were the wounds on others, and the fact that Tadde was dead. Adra tried to pull on his arm.
"Someone help me bring him off the road." Zel helped her while Amelia tended to Lina and Gourry. When Tadde was a suitable distance from the road they buried him and put up a simple marker.
"My my, how sad." Xelloss said materializing beside them.
"Be quiet." Adra said in the lowest of voices.
"Now why should I? Do you think you could kill me the way you did that shadow?" He opened his eyes and smiled evilly.
Adra looked at him without emotion and said in an equally quiet voice, "I know what you can do and, no I wouldn't kill you the same way. I wouldn't need to raise my hand. I just need to think about you not existing and it would be so."
He twitched and, thought about that. He didn't want to believe it but Adra was Incapable of lying, that much he could ascertain. Alien power was pouring off her in waves, like nothing he had ever seen before. Different from any god or demon in any of the four worlds and, he realized to his horror, much more powerful and he was afraid. He stumbled back a pace truly astonished before he regained composure enough teleport. away. He was actually shaking. He decided, he would rather just watch and not come near her again.
It had been days since the incident; Adra just walked now looking at the ground. Zel's newfound cheerfulness suffered a relapse. Even Amelia and Lina were unusually quiet. Lina especially. She had not understood the extent of Adra's power before but, now she had seen it and had seen it cower a very powerful demon. Not only that but, somehow subconsciously she felt like she knew this girl. Something about the alien power in her seemed familiar.
They reached the temple the next day. Adra was quiet as she entered. She stood in the center of the big room.
"Lina, I've seen this place in a dream before we came here to take the book, I just now remembered. Someone called me Anenya and told me this was my home." The others looked at her. She started walking across the room toward the two pillars. She stared up at the fanged face carved above them.
"What do you seek here daughter of night?" The face boomed out, the sound echoing continuously in the vaulted room.
"I want to know who I am."
"You are the daughter of night." It replied.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Adra was screamed. She threw her fist against the wall gashing it open, blood poured down her wrist for a few moments before the wound closed and disappeared. The others watched her shocked by her uncharacteristic violence.
"Adra calm down." Zel said trying to stop her.
She struck her fist against the wall again, this time the wall disappeared into a void and she disappeared.
"ADRA!" Lina yelled racing over to where she had disappeared. Only to have the gate close in her face. The others ran up behind her.
Then all around them the shadows moved. Every place where no light was cast something dark was breathing. They turned preparing spells and drawing their swords.
"That is pretty futile." Someone said behind them. Two people had appeared. The one who had spoken seemed to be made of shadows, the mere silhouette of a man in black robes, all except his bright gold eyes that glowed with a catlike quality. The other was a woman with pointed ears. She was silver from her skin, to hair, to her hunter clothes. When she moved she rippled as if her whole three-dimensional body was just a reflection on some sort of liquid.
"Who are you?" Lina demanded.
The dark man smiled and said in a deep voice soft like he was purring, "I am the Shadowlord Avvanon."
"What have you done with Adra?"
"Done with her? I just brought her where we can have a nice father daughter chat."
"She's your daughter?!" Amelia gasped.
"According to the book, that means she's destined to destroy you." Zel said reasonably
"Of course that means you can't win!" Amelia added confidently.
Avvanon only laughed, "Oh yes she will destroy me sometime according to the legend but, that doesn't mean I can't win. You see my daughter is immortal so she has eternity to face me. That's how she lost her memory before, she faced me and lost. All I have to do is win this once and what I want will be accomplished anyway. Now goodbye, I'll leave you to Yet she can take care of you and I will take care of her.
"Wait what do you mean your purpose? Wait!" Lina yelled. Avvanon vanished. Lina whipped around to where the silver woman was standing. "You you're She Who Has Yet to be Named aren't you?"
The woman turned to look at them her eyes glowing with a brilliant blue-white light. "Yes I am." Her voice overlapped like there was two people speaking almost at the same time. The first voice was normal woman's; the second was deeper and sounded hollow.
"What did he mean by your purpose?"
"Oh? You haven't guessed yet? I will make it clear to you before I kill you then if you can't understand the implications of what you read. How old do you think you are?"
"What do you mean by I think? I'm eighteen!"
Yet chuckled. "No, Lina Inverse would have been eighteen now." Everyone was staring at her.
"What do you mean?" Lina swallowed hard, I'm Lina inverse."
Yet chuckled again, "Let's see how well your friends remember. What did the Lord of Nightmares tell you when she possessed Lina's body?" They stood silently, Yet waited a moment then continued. "She said Lina was consumed right? You know she can't lie."
"What are you saying?" Lina gasped, fear and uncertainty showing in her voice.
"I'm saying that Lina Inverse died that day. That when your boyfriend entered the sea of chaos to save you she absorbed some of his feelings for you. In other words the Lord of Nightmares created you out of Lina's memories after she died. She made you perfect in every way. An exact copy, except for the fact that you are now Chaosborn. You can't use that now but, in a few years maybe, or a few generations of you could and then humanity would be more powerful than the gods and the demons, you would equal us in power and we couldn't drink from your minds anymore. We have to kill you to continue our hobby. Now do you understand, Copy Lina?"
Lina did not answer; she had fallen to her knees and was just staring at the ground. "Why would the Lord of Nightmares do that?"
"I told you, because she absorbed some of Gourry's feeling for you. She is in love with you. However she can't reach you now and I will stop you from using your power or passing it to your children."
"Lina get up!" Gourry yelled racing towards her. A shadow whipped between them materializing a mouth with dozens of pointy teeth. He drew his sword stepping back. Then the ground shook. Yet looked up and cursed.
"No, she killed him! Anenya killed her father!" She signaled to the shadows "Kill the chaos girl now before Anenya gains her fathers power completely!" The shadows formed together like a tide rushing toward Lina. The others rushed around her ready to defend her hopelessly outnumbered.
"stop." a voice said quietly from nowhere. The shadows stopped. The gate between the pillars reopened and Adra appeared. Except now she was noticeably a woman rather than a girl, her cloths and hair were pure shadow that wisped out and disappeared into the void behind her. Yet cursed. The shadows that had been attacking the others flowed over to bow at Adra's feet.
She who has yet to be named trembled. "Shadowlord Anenya." she whispered quietly.
"Attack her." Adra said. The shadows hesitated a moment then turned and rushed Yet. She didn't have time to scream before the tide was upon her.
The others crowded around Lina where she sat on the floor quietly.
"Lina." Gourry began.
"Stop! I'm not Lina. All of you leave me alone."
Gourry ignored her command and grabbed her into his arms, hugging her for all he was worth, "You are Lina."
"No, I'm not"
"Lina it doesn't matter where you came from, I love you anyway."
"Yes, love always triumphs, your are friend forever. We'll never let you down." Amelia Chirped.
"That's exactly right." Zel said laying a hand on her shoulder.
She looked up, "Thank you, everyone."
"Goodbye for now." Everyone looked at Adra. "I'm going to take care of any other elder ones who mess with the chaos worlds; I'm not sure if there is any more but, I will make certain. When I'm done I think I will come back to this world and live as a real person."
Lina smiled in her usual way of instantly becoming happy. "Bye then, come back soon."
With that Adra was gone and the others turned to face the future.
"I guess that's it. That was quicker than usual and I didn't get to Dragon slave anyone." Lina said, "Now all I have to do is think of what to do with this prophecy."
They were preparing to head out when Lina stopped.
"Wait a minute." Lina said suddenly "Something feel wrong here."
"You're right!" Amelia added, "Something feels undone."
Gourry and Zel looked at them as they stood pondering the question.
"Woman's intuition again Lina?" Zel asked
"Woman...... That's it! We haven't had a chance to dress anybody in drag yet, that's what's wrong!"
"You're right! We've done that in every one of our adventures and there hasn't been a chance for it this time!" Gourry tried to unobtrusively sneak to the exit.
"Let's get him!" Lina yelled. Gourry began to run with Lina in hot pursuit.
Epilogue
The Slayers once again went mostly their separate ways. Lina has not learned to use her new powers yet but her son Tadde Gabriev shows signs of a power yet unheard of.
Zel went to Seyruun with Amelia. His shyness miraculously disappeared after their honeymoon.
Adra returned as promised two years later as a child again. She says she wants to experience growing up now.
As for Xelloss he hasn't shown up for awhile. Some report that he makes secret trips to Fillia's house but that's a secret.
