navy = dream
Well for the most part Zelgadis was annoyed with Gourry, but he was still happy to have some company. After they ate they had checked in at an inn and stayed the night. Now they were currently traveling to New Siaraag and had been walking for a few hours.
"So Zel, what have you been up to?"
"Looking for a cure..."
"Did you find one?"
"Does it look like I have? No, ever lead I come across turns out to be false. What have you been up to?"
"Um... Well I was traveling by myself and went over to this place quite far from here... Only I can't remember the name of it..."
"Figures. What did you do there?"
"Well I met someone who happens to be a relative of mine. His names Rowdy, I think he said that he was my great-uncle or something like that. Anyway Rowdy was telling me about some adventure he had done a long time ago that involved a red headed girl and her large breasted friend when he pulls out this sword. So this sword happens to be another sword of light."
"What? Just how many swords of light are there? I thought there was only 2."
"Rowdy said something about there being 13 of them. He also said that had married a long time ago but didn't have any children. So his problem was that he had his sword of light and no one to pass it on to. This is when he hands me the sword and tells me to take it."
"You where just handed a sword of light? And here Lina goes great lengths to try to them and you are just handed one. Did you take it?"
"I tried not to, but Rowdy insisted. He wouldn't let me leave without it. So now I have another sword of light."
"What did you do after that?"
"I got Sylphiel's message and started to head over there and then a I met you. Or at least I think that's all I did..."
"But you still don't remember why you and Lina split up."
"Hmmm....."
"Well?"
"Nope."
"Why am I not surprised?"
"How far are we away from Siaraag?"
"I'd say about a day or two. But I think we should stop for lunch soon."
"Is there a town around here?"
"No. We probably wont reach the next town till tonight."
"So you mean we have to fish for our food?"
"Yes that is correct. Why do you have a problem with that Gourry?"
"If Lina where here than she could get us lots of fish. But without her here it will take forever to get enough food."
"Yeah with that little spell of hers. Say Gourry, where is Lina?"
"Huh? Lina who?"
Zel facefaults.
"What is there some weird curse on you that makes you forget Lina every time I ask where she is?! That's it I give up!"
A long silence passes by as both men walk along the forest road. Zelgadis was still annoyed and Gourry oddly enough was thinking hard about something.
"She left because she got a letter..."
"Who left?"
"Lina. She got a letter from her sister and she said that there was something that she needed to check out and that she would meet up with me sometime latter."
"Why is it that I ask you like a million times and you can't answer my question and only when I actually decide t give up that you finally remember?"
Gourry just shrugged.
They continued traveling till they reached a town called Jelmord. The town seemed normal enough, but Zelgadis couldn't shake this weird feeling he had. It was like he and Gourry were being watched and followed. Numerous times Zel turned himself around to look behind only to find no one was there.
"Is there something wrong Zel?"
"I have this odd feeling someone is following us..."
"For how long?"
"Ever since we came into the town."
Gourry looked around scanning the area. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
"Well if there is someone following us than the guys really good at hiding because I don't see anything."
"Maybe I've just been alone for too long..."
"Well we should still keep an eye out just in case."
Off in the shadows in an alley nearby, glowing amber eyes watched both Gourry and Zelgadis. The shadowy figure turned into a dark liquid and disappeared.
During dinner Zelgadis got that strange feeling again. What is with me? How come I feel like I'm being followed when there is no one there? My imagination is sure getting the best of me.
Zelgadis returned his attention back to his food only to notice that Gourry had taken some of it. He chuckled mentally and shook his head. Well I guess traveling for so long with Lina would do that to you too.
"So Zelgadis, where are we going now?"
"We have to head west on the mainroad. If we leave tomorrow morning we should reach New Siaraag by noon."
"Yeah than we can have lunch over at Sylphiels!"
"Gourry do you always think with your stomach?"
"No I get sleepy too."
Zelgadis smiled and raised an eyebrow.
Zelgadis was walking down a dark path of a place he couldn't
recognize. Everything was dark and black with an absence of color. Where am I? How did I
get here?
You were brought here... A voice spoke from thin air. The
voice didn't sound like a normal voice. It was like many voices all in one speaking together
in a whisper.
"Who are you and what do you want with me?"
History...
"History? What do you mean?"
We want...
"Want what?"
We want history to...
"To what? To change? To be remembered?"
To be repeated...
"You want history to repeat it's self?"
She must die...
"Who? What are you talking about?"
She must die...
Suddenly all Zelgadis could see was red, blood red. He was covered in blood and he was
blinded by it. He tried to clear his vision with his hands only to see the dead body of...
Zelgadis was awoken with a crash when fell out of his bed onto the floor. He was shivering, and sweating cold sweat. What was that? That dream it seemed so real. Who was that person who died? Oh my head! Zelgadis rubbed his aching forehead and feeling weak and dizzy tried to get up. He felt sick to his stomach. That dream was an omen or a warning. I'm sure of it. But who do they want to die? And who are they?
He pondered those questions, as he got ready to meet Gourry for breakfast. One question that popped up was, should he tell Gourry about the dream? He still hadn't decided that when he walked into the restaurant.
The owner of the glowing amber eyes grinned an evil twisted smile. She must die, Zelgadis Greywers, and so must you.
