what did i just do that for...?
what did i just... do...?
The chimera ceased his running, and arrived at his unknown destination. The temple was empty save the huge blind and deaf statues of the 'gods'. Slightly panting, Zelgadis slowly walked through the massive wooden doors, staring straight back at their angry, intimidating eyes.
if really you are 'gods', then what can you do for me?! he spat silently with animosity lacing his words. i don't want to go tonight.
Their wooden eyes reprimanded his disrespectfulness silently.
Tentative moments pass.
"Th -- THE GODS ARE USELESS!!" the chimera shouted angrily. His hands readied in position for a freeze arrow.
A soft, soothing voice interrupted him. "Zelgadiss Graywords."
He whipped around at the voice, unconciously allowing his hands to fall at his sides again. "X-xellos Metallium?" he murmured in disbelief. "What are you doing... here?"
"I came here to pray. And Graywords, the gods wouldn't appreciate your destroying their shrines. Especially the god of nightmares."
"That wasn't what I meant, Metallium. I meant, what are you doing in SAILUNE?"
Xellos smiled in reply. "That is a secret."
Zelgadiss laughed bitterly. "You must not forget that I'm no longer one of your men. I'm now the same rank as you, general. I demand an answer immediately."
The priest pondered for a moment before answering. "Alright. Partially... I'm here to 'help' you in your mission. Shabranigdo sent me when he heard of your ... FAILURE."
"'help'?!" Zel retorted, "I'd more readily believe you've come to rid of me!!"
"Really?" Xellos said, feigning innocence. "Well! Feel free to believe what you will, graywords. But tonight, I will come with you to the gathering of the rebels."
"Do what you will." asshole, he added silently.
Xellos hated Zelgadiss. Likewise however, so did Zelgadiss.
When he had first entered his troop at 17 two years ago, he'd been the one thing Xellos had wanted. The young, violet haired, attractive chimera.
He looked so good that Xellos felt he could eat him.
Zelgadiss, on the other hand felt no mutual attraction. He avoided the commander of his alignment, in spite of all the excess attention he was recieving. Even his own cell wasn't a safe place to be at night.
When Xellos realized that he couldn't get him to succumb to his demands, he decided to take a different turn.
He decided to punish him.
"Graywords. May I speak to you a moment?"
Zel looked up at the voice. "Yes, sir." he replied.
"Good. Follow me to my office."
Both walked slowly to Xellos' quarters. Zelgadiss couldn't imagine there being something wrong. But as he shut the door behind him, Xellos slapped down a brown folder onto his desk, and he knew there was.
"Were you the one whom I assigned to give a report on the patrol earlier this morning?"
The chimera nodded slowly. "Yes... -- sir. I-is something wrong with it?"
Xellos sat silently for a moment, his hands folded on his scratched up desk.
He finally leaned forward. "What's wrong with it?" he asked, a menacing look burning in his eyes. "What's WRONG with it?!"
Zelgadiss swallowed, but didn't reply. He watched the mazoku tear the file to shreds.
"This," Xellos shouted standing suddenly, "is pathetic! Why is it that you can't do anything right?! All I wanted was a simple report. And you can't even give me that!"
Zelgadiss bowed abruptly. "I'm sorry I failed to reach your expectations. I'll re-do it."
Xellos looked closely at the chimera through slit eyes. "You don't have time to re-do it. I'm not going to give you another chance."
"Then...?" But Zel broke off, not knowing what to say in reply.
The mazoku walked slowly towards Zelgadiss. Their faces were only inches apart. Seconds passed like hours...
Zelgadiss remained still when Xellos' lips were on his neck. He didn't move when he felt slender hands slip down his pants.
His standing in his job was at stake. He couldn't risk losing it now. He had to give what his commander wanted. So when Xellos' erection was forced into his mouth, he refused to do anything in defense.
He may not have been able to do anything then... but in the future he would have his revenge.
It was then clear what Xellos wanted from the chimera, and therefore it was easier for him to take what he willed from Zelgadiss as often as he might've liked...
Until the day Zelgadiss killed and brought back the head of Rezo. The long time enemy of Mazoku*. The chimera was instantly promoted and then called for every assignment since.
Xellos didn't like his things taken away.
* i'm bullshitting again, aren't I?! ><'' sorry!
