Xellos stared at the club around him in wonder. There were bright lights flashing everywhere, and loud music on the speakers. It was full of people that were mostly his age, but it looked like Zelgadiss wasn't the oldest person here either. "Where are we?" He asked. Zelgadiss hadn't told him any of the plans for tonight, and he was a little worried about that.
"This is the Setting Sun dance club." Zelgadiss said with a grin. "Do you like it?"
"Am I allowed to be here? They didn't ID me at the door."
"It's a sober club." Zelgadiss responded. "Now answer the question."
"I think so." Xellos replied a little weakly. He didn't know what to make of any of this. Right about now, he really agreed with his mother; he hadn't spent nearly enough time with other people. In fact, he'd never been in a real dance club before, just ones in the Realm. Letting Zelgadiss pull him towards one of the tables he let himself wonder if any of his co-ordination in the Realm would transfer out here.
"You look a little scared." Zelgadiss pointed out as they sat down. "Haven't you ever been dancing before?"
"Not really." Xellos replied, watching some of the couples on the floor.
"What do you mean?"
"Just in the Realm, this is different."
"Really? What kinda of battle means you have to dance?"
"Ah." Xellos turned his attention back to Zelgadiss and found himself being watched by an incredibly amused pair of blue eyes. He scowled, "I told you there were other things to do in the Realm."
"So you did. Just how many other things can you do anyway?"
"None of your business."
Zelgadiss laughed. "If you don't want to stay here, we can leave."
"No," Xellos relented, trying to get himself to relax, "I like it, I promise."
"Do you want to dance then?"
"Can I have something to drink first?"
Zelgadiss laughed. "Sure, but remember, it's a sober club and you're underage anyway."
Xellos stuck his tongue out at him and ordered a pop from the waitress when she came. It was really too loud in there to talk much, so instead he watched the dancers, and ever now and then turned to find Zelgadiss watching him. Yeah, that was going to help him relax, sure, whatever. Finally, just to get him to stop it, Xellos smiled, "Okay, let's dance."
With a smile, Zelgadiss got up and they went out on to the dance floor. It was easier than Xellos had thought and he was having a good time. Just when he was beginning to relax, the music changed. Before he could say anything, he felt Zelgadiss' arms slip around him.
"Slow song." The lavender-hair man said with a grin as he drew Xellos closer.
"A-ah." He replied weakly and rested his hands on Zelgadiss' shoulders.
"You're way too tense." Zelgadiss teased, leaning in to whisper beside Xellos' ear. The light tickle made him shiver, and he heard a chuckle in response.
"Oh be quiet." He muttered, but it did help him relax a little. A lot actually, and it became incredibly easy to just enjoy being that close to Zelgadiss. By the time the song ended, he was actually disappointed that the next one was faster.
"Are you ready to leave?" Zelgadiss asked softly and Xellos nodded. Getting their coats, they left the dance club and headed for Zelgadiss' car.
