Once upon a time there was a handsome young man who wanted to become much stronger than he was. (No one really knows why he wanted this, most people say he didn't tell anyone because the handsome young man was not a very talkative young man, but I don't think he knew why either.) This handsome young man had a very powerful sorcerer as his grandfather (and great grandfather)(don't ask me I don't know and I don't WANT to know). This very powerful sorcerer had inside him a very powerful mazoku lord, and therefore was a slightly crazy very powerful sorcerer. He offered his handsome young grandson a chance to be stronger like he wanted and the handsome young grandson took him up on the offer. Now of course, since our handsome young hero is a handsome young TRAGIC hero, things did not go exactly as he expected (the fact that his powerful grandfather was slightly crazy also had something to do with this I'm sure.) So our handsome young hero found himself turned into a handsome young chimera, but he really didn't see things like that, he thought he looked like a freak and decided to kill his powerful, slightly crazy grandfather for turning him into a handsome but freaky looking chimera.
Somewhat later on our handsome freaky looking chimera hero met a hot headed but very powerful sorceress who had the artifact he needed in order to kill his powerful but slightly crazy grandfather. And since his slightly crazy grandfather also needed that artifact it was easy for him to pretend to get it from the hot-headed sorceress, only the hot-headed sorceress had given it to her handsome but stupid warrior friend, and so kidnapping her turned out to be an enormous waste of time. Except for the fact that our handsome chimera hero decided to let the hot-headed sorceress go and actually started fighting with her against his slightly crazy grandfather who ended up releasing the powerful mazoku lord and almost destroying the universe.
With a lot of fighting against a hopeless cause in the grand fashion of all true heroes, the hot headed sorceress, the handsome but stupid warrior, and out depressed, handsome chimera hero managed to defeat the powerful mazoku lord, killing the slightly crazy powerful grandfather in the process. At this point our depressed chimera went off on his own to find some way to turn himself back to a human. (Why he wanted to do that I still don't know, maybe he was bored). End of story right?
Of course not! Then telling this would have been as big a waste of time as our depressed hero kidnapping the hot-headed sorceress.
Now, some time later our depressed hero met up with the hot headed sorceress, the handsome but stupid hero, and a justice loving clumsy princess and they all saved the world, but all this background info is getting boring so I'm going to move on into more interesting stuff.
Some time later again, they all met up and began to travel together looking for our depressed chimera's cure. (See, they are only doing this 'cause they're bored). This time however, they also met a mysterious, always smiling mazoku who was following them for his own reasons. He was a very handsome mysterious mazoku, and he just happened to notice that our depressed hero was quite a handsome looking chimera and not as freaky looking as he thought he was. But the mysterious mazoku was on a mission and that unfortunately did not involve jumping the depressed chimera's bones and managing to cheer him, so the mysterious mazoku waited.
Another saving the world tale later, the group went off again, still looking for the depressed chimera's cursed (even thought they found the sacred magic book that they had been looking for and somehow forgot that one of the reasons they been looking for it was to get the aforementioned cure).
Now, the mysterious mazoku had some business of his own to take care of (you don't want to know, trust me, he's a mazoku after all) so he didn't travel with the group. Our depressed hero was incredibly horrified to find himself noticing the mysterious mazoku's absence. You see, our depressed chimera was somewhat angry at the mysterious mazoku for trying to stop him from getting his cure. Our depressed hero thought that the mysterious mazoku was just being mean, but it was really because the mysterious mazoku LIKED our depressed hero being a handsome chimera and didn't want him to change. But our depressed, oblivious hero didn't know that and so he hated the poor infatuated mazoku.
But he also missed him.
What a dilemma for our poor depressed, and now confused hero! Even more so when he began thinking of the mysterious mazoku as a very attractive mazoku and had a number of rather detailed dreams that I can't relate her because there are minors present. (Yes I do realise that I'm dodging, but I'm the storyteller and I can do what I want.) These dreams bothered our depressed hero because he was anything but depressed while the mysterious mazoku was touching him in them and he just wasn't willing to accept that yet.
But it didn't really matter because they were only dreams, and the mysterious mazoku was gone so our depressed (and repressed) hero decided that he could deal with them. And then, the worst thing in the world that could possibly happen to our poor unsatisfied hero happened.
The mysterious mazoku returned for no apparent reason. Of course he actually DID have a reason, but he couldn't exactly tell them that, otherwise he wouldn't appear to be a mysterious mazoku and then what would I call him? But since, this is a story, I can tell you what the reason really was.
The mysterious mazoku was having some dreams of his own, and being somewhat more experienced than our depressed hero and far more accepting of the idea, these dreams were enough to make any censor run screaming from the building and jump out a window. Being of a somewhat playful temperament, the mysterious mazoku had come back in order to tease our now-very-unsettled hero and see if there was any chance of making these dreams a reality.
After a few days he began to think that yes there was a chance that he could get our sexually repressed hero into the sack he would just have to work at getting the handsome chimera past the fact that he thought he hated the hot-to-trot mazoku. That was okay though, he was up to the task, much to our uncomfortable hero's dismay.
Fortunately for both of them, that dismay really didn't last very long. After all, the hot little mazoku was a very diligent worker and very good at what he did, our poor repressed hero really didn't stand a chance, nor did he stand at all for two days after the diligent mazoku finally got him in the bed, but that was okay because he was quite happy where he was and for the first time in a long time, he was definitely NOT a depressed chimera.
And so our now very happy chimera hero lived happily ever after with the now very proud of himself mazoku.
What about their friends? Well, they gave up waiting after our happy couple stayed in their room for two weeks straight, and left figuring that they would catch up whenever they were done what they were doing.
And about three months later they did.
