Zelgadiss walked straight towards the town. He'd been on the road almost constantly for about a month now and he was looking forward to a night at an inn. For the moment that one thought consumed all his available attention and it took a while before he realised that Xellos was still tagging along.
"Are you still here?" He asked as he turned towards the now perturbed mazoku.
"Yes." He grumbled, for once looking annoyed. "How good of you to notice."
"Why do you stay here?" Zelgadiss snapped, feeling uncomfortable with the fact that Xellos was apparently upset.
"There's no reason for it."
"Apparently not." The mazoku returned and vanished. Zelgadiss looked at the space Xellos had so recently occupied and then shook his head. He didn't understand the trickster priest at all. With a sigh he turned and walked until he reached the inn. Fortunately for him there weren't too many people in the town looking for rooms and he got one easily. Zelgadiss put his things in his room and then sighed. He was tired and he was hungry and he was glad to be indoors for a change. Letting himself enjoy it briefly he then stood, stretched and left the room.
