"BUT IT'S NOT FAIR!"
Duo jumped, and looked over at where he heard the voice. Liena and a golden haired woman were standing in the woods, and the surrounding trees were little more than standing ash piles.
"NEECHAN'S STILL ALIVE, I FOUND HIM BACK, FINALLY, AND HE'S IN LOVE WITH THE NAMAGOMI THAT KILLED US!" Liena took a breath. "Damn it, Mom, could you have a worse sense of humor?!"
The woman shrugged. "It is what has happened," she said, her voice having two tones at once. "I had no hand in this."
"I find that hard to believe."
"Heya, Liena!" Duo said, interrupting the girl's train of thought. "Is this your mother? Well, hello, Rinverse-san!"
The golden haired woman blinked her similarly colored eyes. "Well," she said, placing her hands on her hips. "It seems she was right."
"Eh?" Duo blinked.
"And to think, Trickster Priest, the last time we met, you were in more trouble than you could ever get into as this orphan." The woman placed a hand on Duo's shoulder. "The name is Duo now, correct? I believe you know me."
Duo's amethyst eyes widened. "I-it can't be. Those are just dreams, though!"
"I wish they were!" Liena stalked over to the stunned Gundam Pilot, and connected her fist with his chin. "That was the least you deserved, you creep! Namagomi! Ooh, if I had all my powers, I would fry you to a crisp..."
"Yare, yare Lina-chan." Duo's lips quirked in a horribly familiar smile. "It isn't nice to say such things." His amethyst eyes started to close as a cheerful smile started on his lips.
"Xellos." Liena narrowed her eyes. "You remember."
Duo tapped a finger against his cheek. "Xellos Metallium, General/Priest for the Great Beast, Juu-ou-sama, at your service." He turned to the golden haired woman. "L-sama."
She smiled back at the boy. "Ah, but that is wrong now, is it not? You are now Duo Maxwell, Pilot of Gundam 02, Deathscythe." The Lord of Nightmares placed a hand on her hip. "Are you satisfied? It seems you won in the end."
"Do you really want to know?" Duo asked, opening his eyes. "Well..."
"Answer me."
His lips fell into the familiar smirk. "Sore wa himitsu desu." And with the words, Duo disappeared.
L-sama narrowed her eyes. "I can not believe it... he should not have been able to do that..."
A girl with aqua green hair looked up at the apartment building. According to my sources, they live here. Oh, Liena's going to be so happy!
With that, Valia walked into the building.
