Lina who looks at Zel with a serious look on her face. "You know Zel I am going to have to agree with you."
"Who could gain from bringing Garv, Phibrizzo, and Rezo back?" Zel has no clue no it could it be.
Amelia says "How about Zelas Miss Lina."
"You know Amelia you may be right about that."
"But the question is why would Zelas need Garv, Phibrizzo and Rezo." Zel turns to Rezo "Yes I want to know your real reason for coming here and don't tell me it was just to cure me."
Rezo looks at Zel with a confused look on his face and says "Are you saying I am lying to you all."
"Well you lied to us in the past." Lina answered.
Zel goes over and grabs Rezo and says "Tell Us Now!"
"Tell you what??"
"Are you telling us the truth!?"
"If I said yes, why would you believe me?" Zel sweatdropped.
"Well.... Uhhh.......... Uhm...." Zel sighed, then glared at Rezo, unable to say anything else. The Slayers were silent like this for a minute, until Gourry spoke up.
"Who's this guy again?" Everyone fell to the ground. Lina latched to Gourry and shook him. "HOW COULD YOU FORGET WHO HE IS, YOU JELLYFISH BRAINED MORON!!!!!!!!!!"
Garv suddenly jumped up, noticing something. "Phibrizo is gone!"
Lina stopped shaking Gourry. "WHAT!?"
Lina let go of Gourry and ran to Phibrizzo. "What do you mean, GONE? How could he be gone? Where could he have gone to, and WHY IN THE HELL DIDN'T YOU KILL HIM??!!" Lina screamed into Garv's face.
Garv flinched at the noise, but didn't back down. "Listen, Lina..we didn't want to kill him! We wanted to know what he was up to!! That was the reason for the torture..we figured that if we tortured him long enough, he would give in... sigh I never thought he could escape."
Zelgadiss cursed repeatedly, making Amelia's eyes open wide. "Zelgadiss-san..you shouldn't talk like that!"
Zel glared at Amelia as he asked Lina what they should do next. She sighed in frustration, running her hands through her hair roughly. "I don't know..I just don't know. We have to find him and KILL him this time!" She said, looking pointedly towards Garv. "I don't think we're going to have a choice in the matter,"
Garv notes. "By now Phibrizzo has met up with Zelas again and they'll be looking for more help since Dolphin joined to help us."
"Oh not HIM again....last time Dynast came over to visit I had to melt half the ocean again when he left." Everybody sweatdrops.
"Why do we have to be involved in this," Martina whined.
"It sounds like a battle between the Dark lords...not humans. Garv scratches his head...."Well if we get rid of Phibrizzo we'll need somebody else to umm take his place..." he blushes....."Why do you think Zelas was so interested in...." Garv shuts his mouth.
Lina looks at Garv and says "What did you just say?"
Garv looks at Lina and says "I said nothing."
She goes over to Garv and says "You were about to say something then you stopped."
"I want to know what you were going to say." Zel and Amelia had also showed some interest in this. Gourry was still confused.
"Lina what exactly is going anyway." Gourry asked. Garv would not tell anymore. Zel, Amelia, and Lina who were very curious, would NOT let him go until he told, but still he would not tell Lina then pushed everyone off of Garv, demanding a chance to speak with him. She dragged him off to the forest until they were shielded from view by the trees.
"Tell me what is going on Garv, I think that we need to know." She stated softly, leaning closer to him. She crooked her finger so that he leaned down closer to her. Lina bent forward and whispered softly into his ear, "Tell me."
Garv sighs. "Well I think Zelas wanted me and Phibrizzo out of the way so that she could put her own children in the vacant positions."
"Children...what do you mean by children plural there's just Xellos."
"Well she set him to guard you...didn't she?"
"You mean she wants to recruit me?"
Garv nods. "Heh, you tried that already, and I said NO!"
"No my minions tried to recruit you...I never thought about actual..."
Lina's eyes goggled."You mean you DIDN'T think I was worth recruiting?!?!?"
"Errr"
"Fire...no not big enough....I know this doesn't kill you.....LAGUNA BLADE!!"
"Lina can you please calm down a moment...we have to deal with Phibrizzo and Zelas right now." Lina lets the Laguna blade dissipate.
"Yeah, yeah," whips about to face Garv again waggling finger. "But you're going to get it after this is done! Don't you dare get out of it by dying or something like that!"
"Why would I WANT to die?"
Lina looks confused for a moment. "Just don't okay?" she stomps off in a fit of feminine pique.
Lina goes back to where the others are. Zel is the first one to meet and says "Well what did you find out?"
Lina looks at him with a angry look "I have found out that from Garv that Zelas is trying to recruit me."
Zel was in total shock now. "Why would she want to recruit you anyway?"
Lina who is already mad at Garv grabs Zel and starts shaking him. "I should hurt you right now but I am not going to."
"We have other things to take care of first." Gourry and Amelia join Lina and Zel. She tells them what she found out.
Amelia looks at Lina "You mean you are going to join up with Zelas."
Lina turns to Amelia "You should know better than that."
"Of Course Not!"
"You know you are acting more like Gourry."
Zel looks around for Garv and says "Lina where is Garv at."
Lina says "He should be right behind me."
"Great where did that big red haired guy could go to this time."
"I hope he hasn't gotten into any trouble somewhere."
Zel turns to Lina and says "So what is the plan."
Lina who was looking around, turns to Zel. "We run away."
Zel sweatdrops. "That's it?"
"Well, can YOU come up with a better plan at such short notice!?"
"YOU'RE supposed to be the leader of this whole thing!" Zel bickered with Lina, very out of character.
Rezo sweatdropped and spoke up. "How about if you pretend to team up with Zelas, trick her, know what their plan is, then destroy them?"
Zel and Lina stared at Rezo as if he stated the answer to a hard arithmetic problem in 5 seconds. The rest sweatdropped. Lina jumped up. "THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT!?"
Everyone facefaulted. Zel looked around. "Where IS Garv??"
"Right behind you." Garv stated quietly, scaring Zel.
"Why the HELL did you do that?!!" He said, still shaken.
Garv stepped up onto a stone. "I think that if you guys are going with this plan you think is going to work OH-SO-WELL, then I should come in with Lina, telling her that she would like to be recruited, then you all may come with, of course, but Lina is the one she REALLY wants."
Lina was still upset that Zelas had wanted to recruit her. "Why does she want me to be a monster??"
Gourry piped up, saying, "Yeah, why? She's close enough already!"
Lina took the time to beat Gourry senseless before composing herself and speaking again. "I think that its time, Garv." She sighed resolutely, straightened her shoulders and led the way.
"Umm..Lina?" Garv asked. Lina turned around to look at him curiously. "You are going the wrong way."
Everyone sweatdropped, and Lina waited for Garv to take the lead before stepping into line.
Zelas watched in the scrying portal as Lina and company continued on their way. She smiled, closing the portal as she noticed Phibrizzo fazing in.
"Where were you Zelas!!" Phibrizzo shouted.
"I promised to help you fight Lina and Garv. I never said anything about saving your life, especially when you weren't really in danger"
"Not really in danger? Daulphin has joined them, we're all in danger with that lunatic around."
"And what do you suggest."
"Three Darklords are better than two," he smiled.
"Perhaps I should see our brother."
"Perhaps you should."
"And perhaps you should live up to your end of the bargain and at LEAST slow them down a little."
"I think I can accomplish that." Zelas promised gritted teeth.
"Good, then do so!" and the brat vanished away.
"And perhaps when they get here, Lina-chan and Garv will have better luck at finding Xellos and his dragon."
