The scene pans out to show a green and fertile country side, the calm wind and hormonius birds only drowned out by a loud pissed off sounding voice, and the sounds of skin hitting skin.
"Where the hell are we going Zel???" the flame haired one said to the man cloaked and hooded in off white.
"I told you before, we are going to this temple because it has a lead to my cure, possibly, I'm not going to give this chance up." He retorted back.
This constant bickering back and forth was getting a bit frustrating on the others, the other two members of the group having sweat-drops, one tall and blond the other small with black hair. Neither said anything for fear of what would happen if they get in the middle. After the mindless trudging, and whining, and bitching at each other they finally reach the top of the large grassy hill where they meet up with the entrance to a cave.
"This is it?!" the red haired one cried in exclamation, her eyebrows raising waaaaay up.
"What were you expecting, tall pillars and guards in shining armor?" the one named Zel replied, looking at her."
"Miss Lina, Mr. Zelgadiss would you two knock it off already?! We're here, isn't that all that matters?" the black haired one finally speaks up, fed up with these games, only wanting peace between them.
Grudgingly the two shake hands in a truce and then pretend to ignore each other.
"Um, I hate to interrupt but.. Where are we supposed to go again?" the blond one pipes up, a pleasant smile on his face, which is met with a fist.
"Gourry!!! We are here to look around, isn't that clear enough?" Lina shouts, pulling him down by his hair to look into his face. After seeing the blank expression on his face she lets him go, muttering to herself about how she gets into things like this. Zelgadiss on the other hand has already reached the cave entrance.
It seems like your normal everyday cave, stone with moss and lichen growing out of cracks and holes, but over all very stable, a power of sorts can be felt coming from it, strong and alluring but not harmful. This was not unnoticed. Moving into the cave the group has to move a bit closer, the cavern not quite as big as it looks like from the outside but still enough room to breathe.
"So.. Where now Mr. Zelgadiss?" the black hair one asks, looking at the intersection that splits off into two different tunnels.
"Honestly I don't know, can you cast a divining spell Amelia? This power must lead to somewhere."
"All right, it will take a few minutes though" Amelia replies, moving off into the front of the group.
Bringing her hands over her head she speaks in a voice very low, chanting out some odd words as she calls upon her magic, a white glow starts to surround her hands. She points them to the tunnel on the left; her hands glowing, and then moves them to the right, the glow fading out considerably.
"I think its that way," Amelia says, pointing to the left hand tunnel "There are power signatures everywhere but they seem strongest coming from there."
"Great! Lets rock and roll!" Lina says, marching ahead towards the tunnel and out of view. Just then a thud is heard.
"Lina are you okay?!" Amelia yells, running after the overzealous sorceress, Zelgadiss following and just shaking his head.
As the come up to Lina how now has gotten to her feet again find themselves face to face with what looks like a stone door with stone bars, almost like an ancient dungeon, the wards on this place seem seriously powerful, like whatever this power is is dangerous. Above the door an inscription in runes can be seen, carved very deeply in the moss covered wall.
"Can anyone read this?" Lina asks, looking to Zelgadiss "This must be what your looking for after all, it should be you who translates."
"Fine, fine, just give me a few minutes okay?" he replies crossly, examining the runes. "All right, from what I can read it says
To those who find this sacred spot beware, the sleeping warrior within is there, for good or for bad it must be kept in its rightful place, lest the warrior awakes.
"Hm...sounds almost like a children's poem" Amelia sighs, hearts in her eyes at how cute it sounds, sweat drops appearing on the others.
"Who is this warrior though? And how come they make it out to seem like its evil?" Lina asks, trying to see through the bars "And how are we supposed to get in there."
Amelia looks around, resting back against the wall, or would have been if she hadn't falling through to the other side, an ouch following her fall.
"Amelia!.. What the hell????" Lina replies, stepping back from it slightly. Suddenly a strange sound appears in the air, looking around for its source it seems to be coming from Zelgadiss.
"An illusionary wall, such a simple spell and yet throws off a lot of people" after saying this he steps forward, walking easily through the "door" Lina following. What they see in there takes they're breath away.
Cases and boxes can be seen around the room, almost like coffins, most holding relics in various states of disarray, dust covering most of them. Crowns of long dead monarchs, jewels of royal families, house symbols, even musical instruments, all set out as if on display in a museum. A few longer and bigger boxes sit against the other wall, so covered with dust that the glass lids can barely be seen. Splitting up the group searches through the room, poking this and that, and generally trying to make sense of things.
"AHHHHHHH!" a scream pierces out from the corner, everyone turning to see Amelia sitting on the ground, shaking.
"What is it?" Lina and Zelgadiss both reply, kneeling down next to her. The girl can only point, not say anything.
Looking at each other they see a medium sized case, very long and coffin like, what got her so upset being the spot of pale white that can be seen, fingers showing through the hole made in the dust. Moving forward cautiously Zelgadiss moves closer, raising a hand to brush some of the dust away from the side, this time revealing a flash of green. After a bit of excavating and dust filled minute they finally uncover the body and are shocked at what they see, not because its evil but because its unusual. A woman can be seen lying in the box, very tall, seemingly almost over 5'4", the dark green being the carona of hair, stretching to the full length of the case, spread out. The hair looks to be almost as long as the woman herself. She is shown to have pale creamy white skin, closed eyes concealing the color therein, lips dusted a pale pink, her whole self seeming in a good state of preservation. The dress she wears seems a little...low-cut, and blue, showing some more cream like skin, the dress falling to just above her knees, from there on down ribbons wrapped around her slender legs, leading to boots that encase her feet from the ankle down, also a dark green. She doesn't seem to be alive but he doesn't seem to be dead either, move like...empty, like the body is there but no ones home. Words are engraved on the lid of the prison, carved into the glass. They are in a language everyone can read.
Hearing lies the rebirth of a generation, the power intense in this race. To wake the creature you need only to speak the name of its rebirth, this along with the sword will bring the power forth, those who the creature looks highly upon will receive its gifts.
The answer was clear; this could be no other then the sleeping warrior.
