A Happy Marriage

It was the happiest day in Amelia's life, she was marrying Zelgadis! She had waited for so long and he had finally agreed. He was even smiling ...a little...

Amelia jumped up and down and suddenly noticed that Lina was missing.

"Miss Sylpheel, where is Miss Lina?" she asked.

Sylpheel clung to Gourry's arms looked startled. "You didn't really expect her to be here, now, did you?"

Amelia didn't understand that comment and told the priestess so.

"You took Mr. Zelgadis away from her, you cannot blame her for not wanting to be here today."

Amelia was at a magnificent parade, she was presenting her husband to the people of Sailoon. The people backed away and murmured things about a monster and Mazoku.

The princess tried to explain but the people turned away.

Amelia turned to her husband.

"Zelgadis, why were you telling the children about curses and black magic?"

"Because they need to learn how the world outside the walls of the castle works." he said without looking up from his book.

"But...but...but.., they have to learn the way of justice and love."

"You know that the world doesn't work like that."

"But it worked for me!"

"It was because I was around to save you from trouble."

"But..."

Zelgadis looked at her angrily, "I mean it, and that's it! No more discussions about this matter."

"Zel, something is wrong with our children." Amelia said concerned.

Zelgadis raised an eyebrow.

"They are behaving like Xellos!"

"They must have inherited my demon part..."

Amelia woke up with a start. She checked her hand... no ring! ... she sighted in relief.

"That was a scary nightmare!" Maybe I have to stop being so selfish about my feelings... I have to think about the people of Sailoon,... I don't like having to break Mr. Zelgadis' heart but one's responsibilities come first....

She fell asleep with the thought that maybe Gourry would be a good King....
