      I took a walk today, wandering to a coffee shop and then a park to write a little and on the way home I stopped at this used CD store called Imagine and picked up a Siouxsie and the Banshees CD I hadn't been able to find elsewhere. ('Rapture' in case you care) Anyhoo. I was sitting on my ass in front of the computer listening to the disk and reading the lyrics. And singing off-key too, but I digress. The point of the story is that I came to the last song on the disk and suddenly somebody opened the fridge door inside my brain and the little light came on. Now, because I am a Xelloss lover (big ol' duh) lots of my fanfics centre around him and I am sort of a romantic in my deepest heart because some of my fave fics concern the Mazoku falling for somebody. My point is I was listening to this song and I thought, "Gee, since Mazoku are weakened by happy emotions (as Amelia aptly demonstrates) wouldn't the very act of falling in love be like suicide?" chibi Smashing Pumpkins appear and start screeching 'Love is suiciiiiiiide!!!' then disappear. Then again, I believe love always leads to heartache so it might all balance out.... But my point is that that thought prompted the following fic! Oh, and I highly recommend the disk as it kicks some serious ass.

      The self-proclaimed Yami no Miko here again folks, ready to bore you with more Author's notes! Gee, that almost rhymed. This is yet another songfic, and it explores one of my favourite subjects: Xelloss' romantic life. I was sitting around as I so often am, taking a welcome respite from lugging boxes around and the like, while listening to some of my favourite songs when I started to think about how many of my stories concern the beginning of love. (Awwww... don't tell anyone. To this day the majority of my friends believe I don't have a romantic bone in my body.) Anyhoo. Get to the point, Miss N, right? Okay. The point it that I was thinking about the END of relationships. You know... when they start to drag and get to be more of a hassle than they're worth. So I started to think... if you had two immortal beings in a relationship together, wouldn't they get REALLY sick of each other? Maybe I'm the only one who feels it's possible to get tired of a person due to the fact I am a 'cold heartless bitch' and all, but the idea intrigued me enough and paired with the lyrics of a certain Cure song it made a pretty good songfic. Enjoy.

• Slayers Ruins - INDEX
      One of the first Slayers stories I ever wrote was titled Slayers Legacy. But because of various inaccuracies with later revealed information and the lack of a suitable plot for continuation, the storyline was dropped. Slayers Legacy was reborn as a different continuum and the first three chapters of the original Slayers Legacy were revised and fixed to now begin Slayers Ruins.
      For new and returning readers, I'll try to explain a bit about Slayers Ruins. This is a continuation story taking place about a year after Slayers TRY and includes some aspects, namely Filia, baby Val, and the loss of the Sword of Light. The first three chapters were revised to correct inaccuracies and assumptions I was working under when I first wrote them.
• PIE: Paranormal Interpol Enterprise
      P.I.E. stands for Paranormal Interpol Enterprise and is a spoof/counter to the M.I.B., otherwise known as Men In Black. The story is structured loosely on the movie but draws on technology and information described in Alternity: Stardrive.

      Yes, I'm taking some liberties and expanding on certain areas since I'm not necessarily following the religious references of Joan of Ark and the biblical God since this is Slayers which is not a monotheist world. That and there is the emphasis on the 'slaying' of demons versus the 'theft' of paintings (at least in the heroine's mind...).

      An Elseworld Slayers using the steampunk setting (with its semi-Victorian feel as well). Steampunk is an imaginary historical period where the steam engine and other mechanical inventions came to prominent usage during the Victorian period. It's still in Slayers, not our world but we've been wanting to do something like this ever since we got Arcanum. This probably won't be finished by the time 10/31 swings around but hey, at least I started it.
      On an offnote, I recommend anyone who likes Victorian mysteries and/or vampires to read Those Who Hunt the Night by Barbara Hambly. Great book.

The story focuses mainly on Zel and Lina, probably my first story that definitely focuses on their relationship or lack thereof. There are no adult situations so get your minds out of the gutter. ^_-
• Rosewood Lodge
      This story is dedicated to TruthFox, the 5000th hit on my site. ^_^ I came up with the idea when I couldn't use any of the current story hooks I had floating around. This takes place between the first Slayers season and Slayers Next. I have an idea for a sequel but no plans for a release date. Maybe the 10,000th hit?
• My Guiding Light
      So it has happened. 10,000 hits have come and gone. If you didn't already know, it was TruthFox again. So here is the sequel to Rosewood Lodge, I hereby warn you that it is Lina/Zel but then you already expect that from me anyway. ^_^ I hope I did this story justice.

      A giftfic for 15000 hits. I came up with it while doing some research for some other Slayers stories by re-reading some old Patricia C. Wrede books. Specifically, it was Searching for Dragons that popped into my head this idea of Lina being a witch, a very untraditional witch. I'm thinking of expanding on the idea later.

      Sequel to A Witch's Life. Another story in this universe set several years later that I wrote for Halloween '00. It's the only 'comedy' I could come up with. Of course, the ending is again open for another continuation.
• Blanket Scenerio: The Easting Game
      Written by SephZero for the Slayers Fanatics ML fanfic challenge; the blanket scenerio. Lina and Zelgadis are stuck in a cabin with only a blanket between them and a ghost on their shoulder ...
• But Something Is Different ...
      This is a spoof of NEXT Episode 26 where everyone becomes horribly out of character as Fibrizo forgets what he's supposed to do and drags in the other Mazoku Lords to help. Exposure to the last episode of 26 would be a good idea.
• Slayers' Classical Tales Retold Theater: Rumplestiltskin
      Weirdness. This was a gag. I repeat. This is a gag story.
• Better Late Than Never
      I didn't really plan on writing a Valentine's Day story (though I did want to write an explicitly Lina/Zel story since so few of my stories actually go right out and say it) but since I missed the day I thought I wasn't going to do it. Then I looked at my newest Guestbook entry and she asked about a V-day story so...
      The title Better Late Than Never was originally meant for me, because the story was late and I hadn't planned on writing it. This story is technically an Elseworld, set in modern 20th century Japan and draws on one of the modified Western cultural aspects that Japan has. In Japan, only girls give chocolates to the people they like. Then on March 14, White Day, boys would give chocolate to the ones who gave them chocolate. (It's a capitalistic thing to make more money off of the candy.) Obviously, I've tweaked it a bit, since I don't know all of the ins and outs of that 'tradition'.

      This is a fic I coughed up in order to get into the Saint Patrick mood. After several consecutive minutes of slapping myself silly, I came up with this deranged tale. I'm not even sure why I have Zel there in the first place.

      Wai! 4/19/00 is this site's one year anniversary! ^_^ Yeah, my brother and I needed some excuse to not write a normal fic right? Anyway, you can think of this as some kind of TV production...scary thought. The end, or rather near the end are included several teasers of stories that I or my brother am planning for this year.

      For those who aren't familiar, or have just plain forgotten, Mirror Mirror was the title of the Slayers OAV episode where Lina and Naga went up against the terribly beyond imagination Shadow Reflector. Well guess why this story has a '2' after it. The first segment introduces two new villains that will not be permanently killed off by the Slayers cast in the foreseeable future.

      If you are offended by a male/male story, even if it is Lina/Zel where Lina got turned to a guy, then don't read any further!! Hit the 'Back' button! Escape! There is still time to save yourself!!
      cough And if you're still here, then either you don't mind, you're curious, or you like to read things you don't like. This was written for the Oddest Couple Fanfiction contest where the contest holder put up a list of zarby love couples and a list of common couples but for hate. Yours truly being stuck on Lina and Zel as she is, thought the male/male relationshp of Lina and Zel where Lina's gender got changed might be an interesting one. It's weird like my weird stuff. (<= hah! like that sentence made any sense) Anyway, the confusion and inconsistency of pronouns is deliberate.
      Oh yeah, Zel is somewhat OOC compared to most other english Slayers fanfiction. I was basing it off of his portrayal in a number of Japanese Lina/Zel fanfics.

      Alright, I take it back. Not all of my one-shots are Lina/Zel. In fact, this one doesn't even have a romantic twist in it. It's one of my weirder ones where I try to be all deep and profound and usually fail quite utterly.

      This is a Slayers/X fusion, more or less based on the last scene of the X movie. When I read enough of the manga, I may write a longer version where Lina is both Fuuma and Kotori.
• Fondness - some YAOI LEMON
      Taking place after Slayers Try, Lina and Val both love Zel, and he has to choose between them. At the same time, Lina accepts both Val and Zel. This ends up as a Lina/Zel/Val group lemon. This is the first lemon I've written with yaoi content or as an orgy, so please don't flame me! >_< I've got to say that this is the wierdest lemon I've ever written! ~_~;
