The red-haired child watched in horror as the violet-haired youth ran the blazing sword through her neechan's body. Luna Inverse looked at the child Lina.
"Run Lina!" she cried as blood trickled down her chin. Lina looked on in shock as her sister, her neechan fell to the ground. "You may have killed me Xellos, but I won't let you harm my sister!" Luna concentrated her power and she suddenly exploded with white hot enegy. The violet-haired youth screamed in agony ans dissapeared to escape the blast. Lina looked at the charred and burnt crater where her sister had lay dying, and begain to cry. First her parents and now neechan, she had no one. Suddenly, the air began to shimmer and a man with blond hair and ancient gray eyes hovered in form on Lina.
"Hush child, your neechan is with me now, and don't worry I will take care of her." The spirit was Ceiphied, the Dragon Gods neechan had been Knight to.
"But neechan is gone, and I can't live without neechan!" Lina sobbed and Ceiphied gathered the weeping girl into his phantom-like arms.
"Shhh, you have to be strong not only for yourself, but for the entire human race." Ceiphied smiled suddenly and his face was overlaid by a woman with long blond hair and the same colored eyes.
"Go my daughter." She whispered and kissed Lina in the center of her forehead. Lina felt a searing pain and reached up where the woman had touched her. "I grant thee my powers, use them well." the blond woman dissapeared and Ceipied was suddenly back.
"I must go now, and join Luna-chan, you have been marked by L-sama Lina-chan, do her and us proud." Ceiphied dissapeared as well, and Lina was suddenly alone in the burtn out remains of her house. Lina climbed through the wreckage of the house until she came upon the ruins of her room. Lina dug under a pile and held out a length of fine silk with archaic runes incripted upon it. Neechan had given in to Lina on her tenth birthday the year before. Lina felt tears gather in her ruby eyes, and blinked rapidly. No she mustn't cry, she would never cry again. Never. Lina tied the enchanted-headband around her head and left her house and village in Zafiria far behind.
From up above, in the heavens, the woman formally known as Luna inverse watched with sadness as her babysister's childhood was ripped away from her. Luna heard someone step behind her and she tenderly kissed Ceiphied's lips.
"At last my love,we are finally together." Ceiphied murmued as he embraced Luna, and held her closely, "At last."
Lina looked aroung in horror as she was surrounded by Mazuko.
"Want to play with us little girl?" the smaller one asked with a hungry smile on his lips.
"No!" Lina cried ans she tried to flee for her life. She had heard about the gangs of Mazuko that hunted in pack, she had heard what they did you girls the caught. Lina ran until her breathe sobbed in her throat, but she wasn't fast enough. The Mazuko were just toying with her, enjoying her terror. Lian suddenly triped and fell to her knees painfully.
"Got you now you sweet thing." The Mazuko with startling green hair sneered. He took a step foreward and suddenly he crumpled to the ground dead.
"I don't think so." A deathly chill voice murmured and Lina looked up at the young man siting on the back of a huge gray horse. The youth suddenly sprung into action and his sword flashed like quicksilver as he swiftly and competently got rid of the Mazuko gang. Lina backed away until she was against the wall. The youth turned to her with a charming smile quarking his lips. He held out his hand to Lina and his sapphire blue eyes shone warmly. Suddenly Lina slammed her fist into his grinng face.....
