Xellos Metallium smiled and shivered with pleasure as he laid the red-hot steel rod against his victems cheek.
"Yes sing my pretty little bird." Xellos sighed as he stared down at the man with hodded eyes. The human looked up with painfilled eyes. Xellso looked into the man's eyes and saw defience burning there. Eventhrough all this, the man still resisted him!
"Well we'll see about that." Xellso grinned as he gouged out man's eye with the rapidly cooling poker. "You needn't worry about bleeding to death, the heat will cauterize the wound for you." Xellos laughed over the man's screams of agony. Oh how he loved the screams, they were the only thing that comforted him these day.
"Xellos-kun, you shouldn't be so rough with your toys." A woman with long blue hair chided as she walked into the room.
"As but Sherra-chan it's so much fun." Xellos laughed in high spirits. Sherra shrugged her delicate shoulders. Although inside her heart of hearts, Sherra felt elation at being called Sherra-chan by Xellos. It was known throughout the Mazuko ranks that Sherra fairly worshiped the groud Xellos walked on, a souce of great amusment to Xellos.
"Shabrinigdo-sama wishes to see you Xellos-kun." Sherra purred as she walked over to the tall priest/general. Xellos smiled and pushed Sherra out of the way. Sherra watched with pain in her eyes as she watched Xellos leave. Sherra glanced over at the rebel. "What are you looking at?" Sherra asked as he kicked the man in the ribs as she too left. From the heap on the floor, the man with light blue hair smiled. He had good news for Zelgadis, if only he could get out of the Hellhole. Zolf tenderly felt the seared hole where his right eye had once been, and then the darkness took him once more.
Xellos bowed before Shabrinigdo.
"You called my lord?" Xellos murmured as he glanced over at where his mistress Zellas sat rocked herself back and forth. He once lustrous hair was dull and limp, Her tanned skin hung loosely from a painfully thin frame and her eyes held the look of one who had seen to much. Xellso ruthlessly suppressed the wave of pity he felt when he looked at the woman who had made him.
"Yes Xellos." Shabringdo murmured as he sat back in his throne. He had taken on the form of Lei today, and he long legs were slung over the arms of his throne. Shabrinigdo/Lei smiled cruely as he kicked the cowering Zellas out of the way as he picked at his teeth. Lei's long black-purple hair shone as the light from the blood-red sun shone down on him. "I have a mission for you. As you are aware, the non-Mazuko have started a new resistance movement. There are two groups that worry me. Namely the warriors of Seiruune and this new group called the Slayers. They are lead by a half-Mazuko named Zelgadis Greyweres and a human named Lina Inverse." Xellos stiffened at the mention of the name Inverse. Unconciously. Xellos' hand reached up to touch the shiny scar tissue of his left cheek. The entire side of his face as been burnt by Luna Inverse' last blast, and Xellos was left with a horrible scar that made hsi once handsome face, terrible and terrifying to look at.
"And Inverse you say?" Xellos murmured Then he suddenly remembered the slight red-haired child that Luna had given her life for. So the sister of Luna Inverse was still alive.
"Yes, Lina is Luna Inverses younger sister. You knew Luna didn't you Xellos?" Shabrinigdo asked lightly as he stared at the scar on Xellos' face.
"Yes Master, I crushed her like the impotent ant she was a long time ago." Shabrinigdo threw back his head and laughed.
"No wonder Zellas liked you so much!" Suddenly Shabrinigdo's face grew serious. "If you want to avoid your Mistress; fate you will not fail me." Shabrinigo's voice was filled with menace, and Xellos smiled behind his Trickster's smile. Xellos bowed dramatically.
"Of course Shabrinigdo-sama. my life is but to serve you my lord." Shabrinigdo nodded sanguinely, dismissing Xellos, and the Mazuko left without a word. He was so deep in though he didn't notice Sherra as he walked past her. Xellos absently fingered his scar as he walked to quarters. So Luna's brat sister was still alive. Xellso giggled, a trully horrible though when you looked at his eyes, they were the eyes of a vicious, rabid killer. To think that Luna gave her life for Lina. Yes, Xellos would have the utmost fun killing Lina even after Luna's noble, yet pointless sacrifice. Xellos' laughter echoed through the deadly silent halls
The Warrior-Queen Amelia Tesla Seiruune looked down at the camp with disinterested eyes.
"This is them. This is the reason I came all the way form Seiruune for. A small group of rebels." Aemlia's lip curled in disdain as she stared down at the practicing trainees. Amelia stretched out and her large bust strained against the tightly lace black leather fighting vest she wore. Amelia ran her hand through her closely croped hair. She nudged her war stallion into a canter amd she and her small group of warriors rode down the hill to the camp.
"Riders coming!" Lina's head jerked up when she heard the sentry's warning. Lina's red eyes narrowed in suspicion. She grabbed her sword and ran to the wall. She grabbed the bow form a trainee.
"Halt!" Lina's voice rang out clearly, and the woman with short black hair slowed her stallion. "State your business with the Slayers!"
"I am the Queen Amelia of the Citi-State Seirunne!" the woman's rough and low voice met Lina's ears. "I am here about a possible alliance with my people and the Slayers." Lina looked down at Zel and he nodded his head slightly. Lina hit the lever and lowered the drawbridge. Amelai's cold blue gaze scanned the courtyard and came to rest on Zel. The amazon's blue eyes widened and she leapt form her horse.
"What do you want?" Lina asked coldly form behind Amelia. The Queen ignored Lina and walked over to Zel. She smiled slightly and ran her hands through his hair.
"I want.... him." Amelia purred as she brought Zel's lips down to hers in a crushing kiss.
