Chapter Ten

Xellos stared down at Lina. Lina snuggled up in his lap, and Xellos, shifted into order to get more comfortable. In her sleep, Lina sighed and woke up. Lina looked up at Xellos and smiled.

"What's the matter." Xellos smiled weakly.

Ah my sweet naïve Lina-chan, how can you ask? Xellos thought silently. "Nothing, what gives you that idea?" Lina grinned mischievously and she slid her hand down Xellos' chest. As Lina's hand wandered rather down, Xellos gulped. Lina's hand brushed against Xellos' thigh and his gasped.

"Lina!" he croaked as his hand covered hers. "Ahahahaha pet, there are something's that should be left unknown. You might get a nasty surprise." Xellos chided Lina, but his eyes were deathly serious. Lina leaned forward and straddled Xellos' thighs and kissed him. Xellos ground his teeth together and tried to control his unruly hormones. "We should stop." Xellos muttered as he gently deposited Lina on the ground.

"What?" Lina began, but Xellos placed his fingers against her lips.

"No Lina, you don't deserve that. Not here, not now, [1] don't worry perhaps when we are both thinking more clear ne?" Xellos stood up, and held out his hand to Lina. The petite sorceress accepted Xellos' proffered hand and she and him walked back to Zel and Khirah's house.

"Wait where is Greyling and Nightshayde?" Lina asked as she looked around for the two wolves.

"Answering Nature's call." Xellos thought sourly as he grabbed Lina's hand. "They are probably rejoicing in their reunion." Xellos said with a small smile. Lina blushed slightly and Xellos shook his head. How in L-sama's name had he managed to fall in love with such an innocent? Lina and Xellos walked onto the porch of the house. They stopped to kiss one last time.

Inside the house, Khirah, Amelia, and Martina were peeking out the window.

"How sweet." Khirah murmured as she patted her belly. The baby suddenly kicked, and Khirah gasped in surprise. "Feisty tonight aren't we?" Khirah murmured to her child as she went to fix some tea for her two friends. Lina walked into the door and caught Amelia and Martina red-handed.

"What are you two doing?" Lina asked fire burning in her eyes.

"Ummmmm, well you see we..... Martina you tell her" Amelia murmured with a nervous grin.

"They were following my orders." Luna murmured as she walked into the kitchen. She was wearing her traveling clothes, meaning a red tunic over black breeches. Luna's shinny black boots reached to her knees and her hair was pulled back in a ponytail. But Luna's long bangs still partially concealed her eyes.

"Neechan?" Lina murmured.

"Lina." Luna said as she walked over to Lina. "Have you behaved yourself?" Lina's ruby red eyes bugged out.

"Luna." Migazia chided her as he followed her into the kitchen. "Hey Lina-chan!" The Gold Dragon elder grinned slightly.

"Hello Milgazia." Lina smiled at the Gold Dragon that had lead her to the Claire Bible. Khirah placed another kettle onto the stove to make more tea.

I wonder who else is going to show up? Khirah thought silently as she looked over at Lina. The sorceress who had defeated the Dark Lord Shabrinigdo quivered slightly as she stood before her older sister. Zel suddenly walked into the door form outside

"Hey Khirah look who stopped by for a visit......" Zel's eyes widened slightly when he saw all the people gathered in his kitchen.

"Who's hungry?" Khirah asked. Luna, Milgazia, Lina and Amelia raised their hands

"Hey don't forget about us." Lina whirled around when she heard familiar voice.

"Gourry!" Lina cried as she hugged her best friend.

"Lina, hey where have you been?" The every clueless bong swordsman asked.

"Lina-chan." Slyphial greeted the smaller sorceress.

"Okay, everyone into the living room and give me some room. Khirah ordered tapping her foot impatiently as her kitchen rapidly began to fill. Everyone smiled sheepishly and walked into the larger parlor/living room. Slyphial stayed behind.

"May I help?" Slyphial asked.

"Sure." Khirah smiled at the Sairaagian priestess. "You are always a welcome addition to my kitchen. But Martina-chan is another story."

"I heard that!" Martina muttered in mock annoyance. The time she had spent out here had really mellowed her out. Where she once would have taken offence to such a remark, she now just shrugged it off with a grin. Much to Zangalus' delight. Khirah and Martina grinned at each other. "Watch out Madame Waddle, I'm coming through." Martina teased her friend.

"Madame Waddle is it?" Khirah chased Martian around the kitchen with her wooden spoon while Slyphial, unused to their constant teased watched it all with a worried expression.

"Ano..... What should I do?" Slyphial asked.

In her castle under the Daemon Sea, Deep Sea Dalphine paged through the book she had been studying. Yes she could do that. The both Draneth and Brannon would be free. Dalphine smiled slightly. She had finally found a way to join her Kaen again, and at the same time, make sure her 'boys' were happy

"Soon." Dalphine murmured to herself as she began to plan.
