Amelia awoke on a path in the forest. She looked around for any sign of where she was. In the distance she saw a town.
Yes, she thought that's Kanar... right town... but... am I in the right time?
She heard a painful moan from behind her and turned. There was a man on the ground with a fatal wound to the chest. Amelia ran over to him and recognised his garb as one of her father's messengers.
"...m...mess..message.." he choked out.
"Don't talk, I'll try to heal you." Amelia said, but knew it was hopeless. The messenger had lost too much blood.
"...m...must...del..iver...message...to...Ph..phill..ionell-sa..ma..." he said and managed to hand Amelia a scroll.
"u..urgent." the man was fading fast.
"You want me to deliver this to Phillionell-sama?" Amelia asked, the man nodded. He pointed to a black horse with a silver star on it's forehead.
"T...take Magic....she'll help..."
"Hai...." Amelia said, a tear falling down her cheek. She didn't know who this man was, she didn't know what he was like, but she was still saddened.
"F..for Seiyruune..." he said with a small smile, then closed his eyes, never to open them again.
Amelia wiped away a tear and whispered a small healing spell. Most called the spell pointless, but others found it comforting. The spell was to make the dead look like they were 'Just Sleeping'.
She then brought him to the town of Kanar to make sure that he had a proper burial. It was the least she could for the man.
After a short stop in Kanar, Amelia was on the road again. It had started to rain a little while earlier and a storm was starting. She was riding the horse, Magic, down a path she knew that lead deeper into Seiruune kingdom. In town, she had traded her traveling clothes for a more conventional outfit. Now she looked more like a bandit. So if she couldn't find Lina, all she had to do was cause a little ruckus and the infamous bandit-killer Lina Inverse would come to her.
When she reached a deeply wooded area she heard the sounds of a battle ahead of her.
"FFFIIIRRREEEEE.....BAAALLL!!!!"
There was a sound of a large explosion.
"That's Lina-san! I can recognise her reckless usage of a fireball in any time period! Hyah!" she snapped Magic's reins and set the horse running to the battle. If she was right, then this would be the battle with those magic resistent demons.
When she got close enough she sent out a magic probe. Yes... she thought. This is the battle. Only physical weapons can hurt these demons... that.. and ancient magic...
Amelia remembered how after her friend's deaths she had lived for nothing other then her magic training. She lived by it. For seven years she had done nothing but perfect her magic and fighting skills. Now she was a living, breathing, weapon that could very well destroy an entire kingdom without even trying.
Lina-san would be proud... She gave a half smile.
Ah! The clearing up ahead! There was a small cliff over the battle right ahead of her. The wall was steep, but not steep enough so she couldn't ride down it. She made Magic go faster till she finally broke out of the trees onto a small cliff above the battle.
As she broke out of the trees and onto the cliff she felt the wind blow her hair back and there was a strike of lightning behind her. With her sword drawn and ready for battle this made an all around impressive sight. Especally to the Amelia (I'll call her Amelia-chan and the future Amelia 'Amelia-san', so you don't get all confuzzled) of this time, who was still justice crazy.
"Wow...." Amelia-chan said breathlessly.
Amelia-san now noticed that everyone was staring right at her. She kept her face emotionliess. This whas what she had always wanted when she was young, a chance to be a hero. Now she had that chance. Only this time, she wouldn't make a speech. She looked at the demons. The same from seven years ago. The same that had...
Amelia-san wiped those thoughts from her mind and decided that maybe a small speech would be nice... she gave a half smile that could have (and did) make even Lina shudder.
Amelia-san gave a slight bow of her head at the demons. "Konban wa..." she said coolly, then pointed her sword at them. "I'm here to kill you."
She charged the demons, everything was in a flurry of claws, magic, swords and hooves, Amelia-san finally burst out of the battle and turned to face the demons again. Their wounds had healed, of course. Only a weapon of light could harm them. They looked smug and Amelia-san looked defeated. As they were about to laugh at her she held her sword into the air and yelled the ancient weapons magic spell.
"LIGHT SABER!!!!" (No, not like Star Wars.). There was a flash of light and when they could see agin... the word was glowing with light. Thanks to the Light Saber spell, Amelia-san now had the equal to a sword of light.
She charged that the demons once more. One made a swipe for her head, but she was not the clumsy young girl she used to be. She quickly jumped into the air over it and he missed her, as well as the horse.
Amelia-san decided that it would be better if she kept Magic out of this. She quickly send telepathic directions for the horse to stay OUT of the battle.
Amelia-san landed gracefully on the ground. She quickly tried to find the leader of the demons while dodging their attacks.
There! He had to be the one!
Two of the demons didn't seem to care whether they got hit with the sword or not. It seemed like they never even got it. A quick magic scan showed that only one of the demons was really there, and the rest were highly-advanced illusions. She quickly pinpointed the true demon and attacked it.
With a quick throw of her sword it was all over. It pierced the demon right between the eyes and it fell to the ground, blood flowing out of it. Suddenly, there was a slight FWWOSH and the rest of the demons disappeared.
Amelia-san casually walked over to the demon and yanked her sword out of it's head as the Light Saber spell faded. She causlly wiped the blood off of it on the grass then returned it to the sheath on her back.
"Ano..."
Amelia-san turned to see Amelia-chan, Lina, Gourry, and Zelgadis all looking at her.
Lina stepped forward and asked Amelia-san a very hard question. "Who are you?"
Hi hi... it is I, the MiniNinja again. Sorry this took so long, but, as I said, if I don't get constantly bugged about finishing a fanfic, I never will. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!
