She walked quietly behind the others. They had forgotten about her again. She lagged behind sulking. Lina and Gourry were arguing about where was the best place to go. Amelia was trying to keep some semblance of peace, telling Lina it was unjust to continually beat Gourry. However, they didn't seem to be paying attention to each other, and definitely not Filia.
She sighed. She could deal with being ignored by those three. She could bring herself above such petty nonsense. However, that namagomi was driving her nuts. She couldn't quite get her eye to stop twitching.
He was clinging all over Zelgadiss, who was desperately trying to remove the annoying priest. How could he keep doing that? He had to know how she felt about him. So, he was being the usual insensitive, perverse, namagomi mazuku, he always was.
Filia glared at the two, watching Xelloss wrap an arm around the chimera's waist, while being pounded in the head by the irate chimera. Filia suddenly felt all semblance of calm, that she was trying to reflect, disappear, when the namagomi's hands wondered too far down and Zelgadiss turned an even darker shade of blue and tried even harder to dislodge the priest.
"NAMAGOMI," she screamed, pulling out her mace, "GET YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF HIM!" She charged the mazuku, who wrapped his arms around the startled chimera and used him as a shield. Filia tried to run around Zelgadiss to get a good swing, but the namagomi just pivoted Zelgadiss around on his heels keeping him in front of him.
So, the scene was a flustered chimera, still trying to dislodge a giggling mazuku, being spun around on his heels, as a mazuku and dragon maiden ran around him.
Filia stopped. "Oh, have you already gotten tired," giggled the namagomi, looking over Zelgadiss' shoulder.
"No," Filia stated calmly. She then brought her fist over Zelgadiss' shoulder and into the stunned namagomi's face. He fell on his rump, shocked.
Filia, then calmly leaned over, placed her shoulder against Zelgadiss's midsection wrapped an arm around his upper thighs, and stood with him slung over her shoulder. Then proceeded to use her other hand to calmly smash the priest into mazuku jam.
She then turned to look at Lina, Gourry, and Amelia, who stood with their mouths open.
"I don't care what you decide. You can stand here and argue all day for all I care. But, I've had it with the lot of you. Zelgadiss and I are going to the inn and cafe that are a half a mile to the west."
"Inn?" the all asked.
"Yes, a inn," she replied sarcastically, "but you forgot about me again, and if you had asked, I could have told you and you wouldn't have wasted time arguing on where to go."
"Gomen sai," they all responded sheepishly.
She snorted, "Well, Zelgadiss and I are leaving. We'll be having tea and coffee at their cafe and you can just stand here or follow. Then, I'm getting us a room. Good day!"
She then spun around, leaving them still in shock with a slightly squashed (but somehow still happy) mazuku.
The last thing they saw was her walk into the wood, with a very flushed and shocked Zelgadiss staring back at them over her shouler.
The last thing they heard was Zelgadiss sputtering, "Us?! A room?!"
"Yes," was the reply, "now stop squirming. I'm in no mood for arguments. Don't make me regress to a cave dragon and make me knock you out and drag you there unconscious."
Silence.
The others continued to listen, straining to hear anything else. However, after a while realizing they weren't returning decided they better run after them and they, too, disappeared into the woods.
