They had been wondering through the labyrinth of halls for some time now and they had come no closer to finding the object of their search.
Zelgadiss was becoming frustrated with the lack of results and was wondering if the Mozuku was just playing another game with him. Xelloss has said that there was a magical article that was rumored to have transformation powers. However, it was in two different pieces and the group had split up to get the those pieces.
Lina and Gourry had gone one way and Xelloss and himself had gone another. Luckily, Amelia had to go home to Sailune on royal business, so he did not have to deal with her fawning all over him. But, how in the hell had he ended up with the Mozuku. That troublesome trickster would usually follow Lina, if given a choice. But, NO, he had to follow Zelgadiss this time. He was even being more of a pest than usual.
He would continually pester Zel, until Zel would lose it and attempt to throttle the priest. Xelloss seemed to be enjoying this game to no end and it was driving Zel mad.
Again, Xelloss said something to aggravate the chimera, but this time when Zel went to hit him, Xelloss phased out of the way and Zel hit the wall. It took Zel a split second to notice the increasing power that came from the wall and for his mind to come to the conclusion, "MAGIC TRAP"!
However, it was too late! He felt the magic surge through his body, like electricity, shredding his clothes. He could feel an increasing pain ripple through his body, and he could hear himself scream, which raised in pitch until the spell suddenly released him and he crumbled to the ground.
He wearily looked up and caught sight of the trickster. His usually closed eyes were open and staring at him with.....could that be hope?
Zel looked down to see what damage had been done to him. He stared in horror at his new body, and screamed.
NO! THIS COULDN'T BE HAPPENING! NOT AGAIN! Hadn't he been through enough? Didn't L-sama thing he'd been through enough?
He looked at the Mozukan Priest and saw the delighted smile spread across his face.
THIS IS HIS FAULT! SOMEHOW THIS IS HIS FAULT! Zel felt himself launch himself at the Mozuku, picking up his sword, not caring that it wouldn't do any good against the trickster. He lunged at Xelloss, who just phased out of the way and behind Zel. Before Zel could do anything, but turn to face the priest, Xelloss had grabbed him around the waist, touched his forehead and whispered, "SLEEP". Zel passed out into Xelloss' waiting arms.
