What do you see, when you look at me?
I look at myself, I see
monster, freak, obscenity.
What do you see, when you look at you?
I look at you, I see
beauty, loyalty, spunk and heart-true.
You, the first to make me laugh, in such a long time.
Are so carefree, so honest in self.
I look at these monstrous hands of mine,
I find them stained with blood.
You laugh, joke, even in the darkest hours.
And yet your self is serious,
when you must use your powers.
You do things I do not expect, and fill my world with wonder.
And yet it is your gentle side,
with all your fierce joy, that is tearing my heart asunder.
You are the dragon, filling the world with your exultant sound.
I am a rock, lying on the ground.
