Mystery 4 Two by Jon B.
Lina walked down a long path, that's winding turns were obscured by thick foliage. Every now and then a particularly nasty branch would giver he a nice whack in the head. She growled silently to herself, there had better be a good reason why Zelgadis had wanted to meet all the way out here in the middle of nowhere alone. After about 20 minutes of walking Lina was fed up, no reason whatsoever was enough for her to go on.
Except...yes there! Lina scrunched up her nose as the tangible scent of pork and chicken caught her attention. All the searching around she had been doing had made her particularly hungry; brightening considerably she ran the rest of the way to the meeting spot.
Zelgadis nervously pulled at a wire strand of his hair as he waited for Lina to arrive. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves; he had been planning this night very carefully. He and Lina had agreed albeit come to an agreement they had feelings for each other, but neither had really felt the need to hop from their friendship to the next level. And to put it quite frank Zel was tired of waiting, he cared for Lina a lot and he had been brainstorming on the perfect way to gain her attention. Hence his current situation, he had set up a picnic in on a beautiful spot he had found in some of his earlier travels. He would wine and dine her, but it was simple enough so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed. Glancing around he took in his surroundings; the small clearing wasn't very large. A small clearing filled with lush grass, exotic flowers littered about. There was also an opening in one of the trees that let the moonlight hit the picnic blanket in just such a way that the light reflected off the champagne bottle giving it an unearthly glow.
"Damn! Stupid chipmunk!"
He watched in slight amusement as Lina waved her fist in a threatening matter at the offending beast. Now was a good time to start that any. Coughing he hesitantly began...

Lina whipped her head around as she heard that familiar sexy smooth voice that only could belong to one person. He was laying casually sprawled out upon a picnic basket his chin resting on his hand as he stared at her with unnatural intensity. Her face fairly glowed with her blush as she hesitantly walked closer...no one had ever done something like this for her before. She gave a start of surprise as Zel moved to stand in one fluid motion.

Zel moved with an easy grace as he gently held Lina's small hands in his own. He couldn't help but stare into her large red eyes, they were beautiful. She was beautiful she was like an intoxicating drug that he couldn't get enough of. Smiling softly he removed one of his hands so that he could cup one of Lina's glowing cheeks. Beautiful...
I guess the night kinda had that glow
Mr. Moon in the sky hung low

But the fight is not fair
Lina wasn't sure what she should do, she was too afraid of breaking the moment. She knew first hand she wasn't the most graceful person nor the most feminine. To put it bluntly she wasn't what you would call a normal female...but despite all that Zel seemed to like her. Whatever for...She wasn't about to rationalize the moment right now...her brain wasn't working right especially with Zelgadis so close to her. She gasped lightly as Zel suddenly brought their bodies flush together and began to move to the soft melody of the song. No not dancing more like gentle swaying, Lina laid her head upon Zel's chest enjoying the moment.

Wrapping his arms tightly around the relaxed slender body in his arms he placed a gentle kiss atop her head. How could such a beautiful creature love someone such as himself...

As Zel sang the last long of the song he tipped Lina's delicate face up to his own. The delicate flush that spread across her cheeks, combined with her soft full red lips did him in. Moaning softly he leaned in and gently took Lina's lips in a gentle kiss. The kiss was definitely not passion filled but it seemed to speak volumes on what he felt and that in itself was all that mattered.
