Zelgadis blinked as he continued to sip his cup of coffee, even as he watched the ongoing argument across the table. A small petite redhead was currently pulling on a certain dense man's long mane of blond hair.
"Gourry I'll say it once and I'll say it twice we are not going to Amelia's party!" Lina Inverse sorceress supreme, dragon slayer, bandit killer, screamed in outrage.
"Lina you don't want to come to my party...but LINA all the people of righteousness and Justice will be there!" Amelia stated as she stood in her chair her finger pointed towards the ceiling.
Zelgadis sweatdropped as he watched everyone bicker. The whole argument had started when Amelia had announced that she was having a party at home in honor of heroes everywhere, and announced that she wanted all of them to come. First he himself had announced that he wasn't the partying type and he wasn't going, then Lina had announced that if he didn't have to go then she didn't have to go either.
Amelia bounced out of her chair and over to zelgadis "But Zelgadis you have to be my date, so you have to go" Amelia argued latching onto his arm.
Zelgadis's left eye twitched in irritation as he dislodged Amelia's hand from his arm. "Amelia I'm not going and that's final"
"Fine.... I didn't want to have to do this, but you all forced me to bring out the big guns..." Amelia said smiling brightly. Turning she glanced over in Lina's direction "Hey Lina I think I forgot to mention that there will be ton's of food all night for free...."
"What?!? Why didn't you mention that before!" Lina grabbed her things, and began running happily out the door somehow snagging Zel, Gourry, and Amelia on her way out.
"Linnnnnnnaaaaaa!" Gourry shouted as he flew through the air behind Lina.
"Explain to me again why I have to go to this party too?" Zelgadis asked as he put the final touches on his black tie.
"Because Lina said that it would be a great opportunity to meet new people...but it's just so she can eat and maybe while she's eating some of the fat will go to her chest" Gourry said in his usual dimwitted way.
"Gourry!" Lina smashed Gourry in the back of his head with her fist.
Gourry and Zelgadis weren't paying any attention to her Ranting and Raving as they were to busy staring at Lina. She had for the night got rid of her usual sorceress garb and was now dressed in a beautiful white gown. The gown was figure hugging, with thin spaghetti straps that fell slightly off her shoulders, and a beautiful diamond choker that Amelia had loaned to her for the night.
"What are you two staring at let's go eat!" Lina announced a smile already spread across her lips, as she patted down the mop of hair that had pinned up for once with soft strands of red hair that lay at the nape of her neck.
Zelgadis watched as Lina practically skipped from the room; he was still shocked he had never seen Lina in anything besides her sorcerer clothes before. He knew Lina was pretty, but dressed up she was absolutely beautiful.
Gourry meanwhile was staring a little stunned to then in his usual Gourry manner stated "Wow Lina sure does look pretty although that tight dress just makes her look flatter"
Zelgadis barely had time to roll to the side as he heard "FIREBALL!" sound from in the hallway. Dusting of his suit he carefully nudged Gourry's crisp form with the toe of his polished shoe.
"I think I'll take a nap now...." Gourry trailed off as he fell unconscious.
Zelgadis could do nothing more then sweatdrop as he once again tried to figure out how he had gotten mixed up with such weird people.
