Zel sipped his tea throwing a glance at his new traveling companion. He was staring avidly at the girl Noa, "So you and her are a couple I take it?"
Vahn blushed crimson as he shook his head in denial. "No, no it's not like that she only views me as a friend..."
"Don't worry I know the feeling..." he threw a look Lina's way as she chatted animatedly with Noa. He shook his head in dread the girl was beginning to pick up Lina's mannerisms. Now why that give him the shivers...
"So you like Lina? From the way you two act I would think you two were already a couple. So if you don't mind me asking, how did the two of you meet?" Vahn was grateful there had been no more room at the table the others were sitting at, the more he talked to Zel the more he felt like he found someone who understood him.
"No prob we met under weird circumstances..." and so Zel related how he had been turned into a chimera by Rezo his grandfather all the way to how they had destroyed Shabernigdo.
"Wow!" Vahn's eyes were wide, as he listened to the story.
"So what about you if you don't mind me asking?" Zel asked equally curious.
"Well it's a long story, can you keep a secret?" at Zel's nod he continued "When I said I wasn't from around here it was a half truth. I'm from a world called Legaia; my home is called Rim Elm that's where I live with my sister and father. A thing called the mist plagued Legaia; let's just say you don't want to be anywhere near it. The Only things that can drive back the mist are the Genesis trees, which you need Ra Seru to awaken. My Town was attacked by an evil demon called Zeto, I gathered everyone at our dormant Genesis Tree and that's when I found my Ra-Seru. After that I took it, as my mission to awake the other Genisis Tree's to save my world from the mist. My Ra-Seru meta told me of another Ra-Seru was in danger so we headed to a nearby mountain and that's where I met Noa. Believe it or not she was raised by a wolf who had become the carrier of the Ra-Seru Terra that were were supposed to rescue. When I reached the top of the mountain that's where I found her being attacked by Caruban the same monster that attacked me earlier today...only I'm much stronger now and it didn't take me as long. Noa was a breath of fresh air I was the only human she had seen besides herself; she's totally innocent of the world. Maybe that's why I fell for her I dunno..."
"So your Ra-Seru can talk?" Zel asked curiously.
"Meta talks but I cautioned him not to talk when we got to this world...what I cant figure out is how Noa and I got here..." Vahn finished puzzled.
Zel mereley shrugged "If Xellos had anything to do with it we'll never know"
"Hey Zel...this might sound weird but ...we're both not getting anywhere by ourselves why don't we help each other out? Meaning Lina and Noa" grinning Vahn began to get into the idea. "I'm sure with both of us working at it we can get both of them to notice us as more then comrades."
Zel blinked then grinned slightly "You might have something there...how about this..." Zel began to whisper in low tones as Vahn nodded his head his own smile growing.
The Next Morning...
Lina just stared dumbly ahead of her at the serious chimera standing before her. "Are you serious Zel, I mean are you sure you want to go with me?" she pointed at herself to emphasize her point.
"Yes you, I saw a flier that this town was having a ball and I would be honored if you would go with me" he arched an eyebrow waiting for her to answer.
Lina just nodded somewhat stunned, she watched as Zel grinned and left saying he had to run some errands before tonight. Turning she noticed that Vahn was walking away with Vahn, now what were those two up to... "Lina!" Lina turned and noticed that Noa was running towards her arms waving madly.
"Ne Lina...what's a date?" Noa was curious; Vahn had just asked her out on a date that's what the waitress had said anyway.
"Well it's when two people who really like each other go out somewhere together" wait her and Zel were going out...did she feel that way about Zel...
"Lina, Vahn said you were going to the party tonight with Zelgadis. He said we should find something to wear, and that you would help me!" Noa smiled innocently.
This was all too confusing she would think of it later tonight, she was going to have fun and maybe she could get to the bottom of why Zel was acting so strange. "Let's go find some dresses to wear tonight!" Laughing Lina pulled Noa from the INN.
