Lina stared up at the smiling violet haired man. One side of his face was covered with a horrible scar that made his smiled all the more horrible. But Lina recognized him even after all these years.
"Xellos Metallium I assume?" Lina asked coldly as she tried to contain her panic at facing her sister's murderer.
"And you are Lina Inverse." Xellos smiled darkly. "I have waited a long time to meet you my dear." Xellos knelt do and grasped Lina's chin in his hand. "And now that I have you I have no idea what to do with you."
"You could let me go." Lina said with false confidence; Xellos laughed.
"Hardly, after all the trouble I went to so I could capture you?" Xellos chuckled darkly. "To be honest I wanted to slowly torture you and watch your blood stain my hands in retribution for this." Xellos pointed at his scared face and Lina felt panic settle into her stomach. "But I have a better idea. I am going to make you watch as we wipe out your precious Slayers."
"No!" Lina cried. "Don't harm them!" Lina cried.
"Ah your fear for your friends is delicious, nearly at delicious as your hatred for me. Let's see if I can increase you hatred ne?" Xellos kissed Lina brutally and she tried to push him away.
"No! I can't let this happen. Dear Gods no not him, please not with him!" Lina cried silently as tears trickled down her cheeks. Xellos laughed as he pushed her to the ground and pinned her arms above her head entrapped with his larger hand.
"BASTARD!!!!" Lina screamed when Xellos let go of her lips. "I swear I will kill you for this." Lina cried out as she stared at Xellos with hate filled eyes. "I'll kill you...." Lina cried out when Xellos backhanded her brutally
"Shut up! I will do whatever I want to with you." Xellos snarled as he threw his leg over Lina's thrashing legs. "You are my slave now. I will do anything I want....anything." Lina felt freezing fear run through her veins.
"Excuse me Xellos." A cold feminine voice broke through Lina's terror and she looked up at a woman with long blue hair.
"What!?" Xellos snarled.
"Shabrinigdo-sama wants you." Sherra's eyes burned with anger and twin flags of color rode her pale cheeks. Xellos growled and stood up.
"Watch her for me Sherra." Xellos growled as he phazed to Shabrinigdo's thrown-room. Sherra looked at the terrified Lina.
"I hate you." Sherra hissed as she stared at Lina.
"What'd I ever do to you?" Lina asked belligerently as she sat up and sat as far away from Sherra as she could.
"You took Xellos-sama from me." Sherra growled as she stalked over to Lina and dragged her up from her hair. "He was mine, damn you, mine!" Lina looked into Sherra's pain filled eyes.
"Dear Gods, you love him." Lina whispered as she watched angry tears fill Sherra's crystal blue eyes.
"Yes and you took him from me you trollop!" Sherra slapped Lina hard and Lina slapped her back.
"Bitch!" Lina shouted. Sherra snarled and drew her sword.
"You will die for that!" Sherra screamed as she raised her sword over the smirking Lina's head. Sherra cried out as she felt a sharp pain run through her back and she fell to the ground as her spinal cord was severed. Sherra stared up in disbelief as Xellos pulled the dagger she had given him out of her back.
"I warned you Sherra! No one touches what is mine." Xellos snarled as he stood over her. Sherra's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water as blood tricked from her mouth.
"Xe...Xellos-sama." Sherra whispered as she stared up at Xellos in disbelief. Xellos looked down at Sherra with cold eyes and smiled his cruelest smile.
"And now you die." Sherra saw Xellos' stave swinging down towards her head, and then nothing....
Firia was sore, very sore.
"What have I done?" she thought. "I have betrayed my entire race..." Firia squeezed her eyes shut and tried to stop the tears. She had betrayed her race by taking a Mazuko as a lover. Sure he was only 1/2 Mazuko, but that was 1/2 Mazuko too much. Firia ran from the bed she and Valgarv had slept in the night before and she managed to make it to the safe place before she threw up. What had she done? She had slept with a Ancient Dragon/Mazuko, she had given up her virginity to a Mazuko. Unable to stop herself, Firia broke into tears and wrapped her arms around her knees. And she couldn't even claim he had raped her because she hadn't objected... Firia regained some control and she walked back to Valgarv's bedroom. She was surprised to see the aqua haired man sitting on the edge of with his back and head bowed.
"Get out." Val snarled and Firia stared at him in shock. Firia slowly walked into the room and knelt down before him.
"Val..." she whispered as she reached out to touch him but Val shoved her away and leapt to his feet.
"Leave me alone! You have made you point abundantly clear!" Firia caught a glimpse at Val's face and was shocked to see that he face was tracked with tears. Firia stood up and walked over to him.
"Valgarv." Firia murmured as she gripped his forearm. "Look at me." Val tensed and tried to break her hold on his arm.
"Let go of me." Val whispered as he jerked his arm away and wiped at his face. "You have made you point Gold." Val looked at Firia with angry golden eyes. Yet pain swirled within his golden gaze. Firia leapt forward and hugged Valgarv.
"Please don't push me away Val, please." Firia whispered as she buried her head in Val's shoulder. "I wasn't running from you, I wasn't!" Firia sobbed and wondered why the thought of losing Val terrified her. Had she... Firia froze, she had. Somewhere along the line she had fallen in love with him, so she did the only think she could do; she cried harder. Val started down at Firia unsure of what to do. He had her crying and broken, why didn't that please him? Why did he feel self-disgust welling up within his throat?
"Damn Gold." Val growled as he hugged Firia gently. "You're more trouble then you are worth." Val smiled down at Firia and she smiled tentatively back. "Too much trouble. Always hitting me with that trice cursed mace of your..." Val kissed Firia passionately. "I don't know why I keep you around." Firia scowled at him and he smiled. "Well there it that." Val grinned as he watched Firia blush bright red with embarrassment. Val hugged Firia suddenly again. "Do you regret it, last night I mean?" Uncertainty filled Valgarv's voice. Firia laid her head against Val's chest and listened to the steady beat of his heart.
"No." she whispered. I don't, do you?"
"Of course not." Val picked Firia up and carried her back to bed. "Care for a repeat performance?" Firia's happy laughter filled the canyon.
Standing on top of the canyon, a man listened to the two lovers, his red hair blowing in the breeze. Garv sighed, "I hope you have the nerve to tell her Val. Don't be like me and not tell the woman you love how you feel." Garv phazed out and returned to his camp. Xellos had gathered the Mazuko they were to wipe out the resistance band call The Slayers.
