Amelia assured herself to be alone before calm herself.
Lina was surprised seeing the young princess put herself between them and Xelloss when he attacked them to obtain the only Zelgadiss' possibility to cure himself.
For her fault Xelloss had what he wanted so Lina ordered her to go away and Zel cursed her crying while she ran away.
The fun stuff was she didn't know why she didn't want Xelloss was hurt but she was hurt to defend him from an attack that wouldn't have him caused a true damage.
Amelia replayed in her mind the scene.
The Converter Amulet was near them but Xelloss with his happy smile adviced them they wasn't able to take it.
So Zel and Gourry attacked to give at Lina the time of go to his back and cast the Dragon Slave, she was a little uncertain about attack him so she decided to defend if necessary.
She didn't have any idea what was the cause for her shouting: "NOOOOO!" and put a magic shield and herself from between Lina's dragon Slave and Xelloss. They were surprised as her for her action so the mazoku stole the amulet and disappeared.
Amelia mused: "And he didn't thank me neither!"
"I hadn't time, Amelia-san!"
She twirled to see the violet haired mazoku looking her with amused air.
"Xelloss, did you control me, before?"
"Everything you did, you did it because you wanted do it."
"I hoped..."
"Everybody hopes. but I wanted thank you for your help."
She smiled sadly, her helping him cost her friends and her home until she discovered why she had helped him: "You're welcome!"
"Now, why is Miss Sunshine sad?"
"I helped you against my friends and this is against the justice code!"
"You'll be able to do enter this your action in your moral code."
"What do you mean?"
"You're able to do enter everything you want in it."
"Only the fair actions!"
"Exacly What I meant. The behaviour of Lina is ever fair and I don't want speak about Zelgadiss' actions or yours neither."
Amelia looked astonished for his behaviour, Xelloss was the only person that never played about her code and now he was destroying her with cruel coolness.
She was lucky to be sat or she'd be fallen, her eyes cried and almost didn't see the mazoku vanishing as he was appeared.
She cried for a long time before to fall asleep.
Amelia woke up in a room, with other persons chained as her: "Where am I?"
Her talismans were disappeared and she felt a strange heat from her chains: "They're magical!"
A young woman with a very sad air smiled weakly to her: "You're in a prison for slaves and we're directed to Nulyas."
Amelia paled, Nulyas was the city opposed to her and she didn't need to enter there, she tried to break the chains but she discovered, without a true surprise, that they were very hard.
A man entered in the room and she ordered: "Let me go now!"
He snickered: "And lose so a good profit. No, my dear. With your blue eyes and your wonderful body I'll earn more money that you've seen in your life."
Improbable, she thought and she was going to add something that was against the justice code but... Xelloss did a good job: "And who do you think would buy a unknown sorceress?"
"Do you want a list? What's your name?"
That was difficult, if she said her true name he seemed fairly intelligent to understand who had captured but she didn't lie ever.
"My name?"
"Your name!"
"My name is Aileen."
"So these were not yours!" he show her bracelets.
"They're mine!"
"Are you of Saylun's royal blood, Aileen?"
Amelia felt a presence enter in her but she erected a mental shield (not magic, only concentration) to protect her secrets. Who did attack her?
A young sorcerer dressed with a black robe appeared and interjected: "This girl is very well trained. Her powers must be very strong!"
Amelia would have smiled for the praise if she wasn't in that situation.
"Can she break the chains?"
"I think so."
"Well, she'll not travel with us!"
He turned to her: "I hoped to have your presence for the travel but I'm afraid I'll need of faster methods."
The woman who explained her the situation, looked her with pain while the sorcerer plunged a dagger in her chest casting a spell.
Blood magic, Amelia thought astonished soon before to faint.
When she woke up (with a headache)she was in a room (so to change with no magic)
The young sorceror looked her: "You're woken up, finally!"
She observed him with fury: "The blood magic was prohibited much centuries ago!"
"Not here", he smiled coldly.
Amelia paled: "We're in Nulyas!"
"You're an intelligent girl and you seem afraid"
"Everybody has a little of intelligence is afraid of this city!"
"True, the market is tomorrow so I'll call some slaves for you."
"If you think I'll do the minimum to let me sell..."
"I'll kill them if they don't do a good work."
"Why do you kill them and not me?"
"I'm a good judge of persons. How much will they need die before you decide a more submissed behaviour?"
Amelia knew the answer in herself so she cried while he went away.
The following morning she followed Larn, that was the sorcerer name, calm and submissed apparently but she was thinking thousand and one way to kill a man. She was chained to him of magical chains and he promised her a blood bath if she tried something before to be sold.
She wore the most wonderful dress she had put on and the skimpiest. It was made of finest blue silk and it rasembled the clothes of Arabian dancers but it didn't solve his most important function, cover her.
She felt the men turn to look her. Larn wanted she gave a message to who watched her and she seemed very good to do it. But she was the first surprised when she saw how much she seemed cute... beautiful, dressed so. This didn't help she was red as a tomato in those conditions...
When her moment arrived, Larn gave her his last advices: "Do everything that they say to do or..." He smiled cruelly to one of slaves that trembled of fear.
She walked on the platform and she obeyed to their orders even when they undressed her, (there it was difficult, if only he hadn't...)and she continued to hear the price highs up until she felt as that was happening to another person and it continued when she was given to a man.
"Hi Amelia-san!"
The blessed confusion disappeared and she was in front of Xelloss.
She sighed relieved: "It was a dream."
Xelloss smiled: "What?"
"Nulyas and every other things."
"Oh, no I bought you."
Amelia fainted.
