A van slowly drove down the dusty road that led across the borders of Mexico and the USA. Its cargo was a batch of people seeking a better life. Their driver was a sleazeball who didn't give a damn about their suffering, only how much money he was going to be paid. None of them realized that something very strange was going to happen tonight.
"Lousy bug," the driver muttered as he turned on the windshield wipers.
In another hour, they would clear the borders and he could be rid of them.
"Oh, Shi*" he swore as he saw lights up ahead. "We got trouble," the driver barked out back as he slowly brought the van to a stop.
Blocking the road up ahead was a barricade of fences and police cars as the state troopers stood ready as the van stopped before them. Two of them walked up to the driver side as they waited for the driver to come out.
"Good morning officer," the driver greeted as he got out.
"Actually it's still night," the trooper remarked as his partner shined the flashlight around. "We're just wondering what are you doing here," he asked gesturing to the van.
"Well I was just coming back from a fishing trip that's all," the driver said scratching his head.
"Fishing, huh?" the trooper muttered gesturing to his partner to check it out.
"Oh too bad, looks like you should have thrown some of these back," the partner remarked as he looked into the van. "Well come out," he ordered as the illegal immigrants filed out.
"You're looking for a good twenty years for this," the trooper remarked to the Driver.
"Officer, I can explain..." the driver remarked before they were blinded by a flash of light.
Everyone shield their eyes as a Viper came ripping down the road and came to a stop just in front of them all. The beams from the headlights turned off as two figures came out of the car, both were dressed quite strangely. Coming out of the driver's side was a person who looked like he was dressed in a totally black outfit with a long coat and shades. The other one was an older, bearded, and balding man dressed a bit more reservedly in simple gray business attire.
"Who the heck are you?" the trooper demanded as the two came walking up.
Ignoring the trooper the lead figure asked his partner, "So who do you think is our perk, Rodimus?"
"Well I think it's the one you don't really suspect," Rodimus remarked rubbing his beard.
"I agree," Zel remarked as he looked at them.
"Answer me," the trooper demanded reaching for his gun.
Zel twisted around, pulling out a gun from his coat, and blasted the arm of the trooper. "I think you already know."
A gasp came from the nearby people as they saw not blood, but a strange green substance came pouring out of the wounds of the trooper. Letting out an inhuman scream, lots of sharp razor teeth came ripping through his teeth as the skin started to stretch. The eyeballs came popping out of the sockets as long eyestalks came out of the opening. Rearing up twice as tall as Zel, the being gave out a scream as tentacles ripped out of the back part.
"I think we seen enough," Zel muttered as he blasted a hole through the thing.
"I never understood why they enjoyed such dragged-on dramatics." Rodimus shrugged as they looked at the pieces of the thing scattered everywhere. Walking up to one of the illegal immigrant, he said, "Prince Orion, there are safer means of transport than this."
Prince Orion shrugged as the human disguise fell off revealing a Koala Bear wearing a baseball cap for the Chicago Cubs. In one clawed hand was a Styrofoam hand with the No 1.written on it and in the other, a baseball pennant. The alien looked up at the two agents with his big watery eyes that were really cute.
"Well, I couldn't get a clearance for my arrival for the big game tomorrow," Prince Orion remarked as he waddled up to the agents. "It is my duty as a fan of the Chicago Cubs to root for them on any game," he proclaimed crossing his arms.
"The Cubs haven't been quite the same since Harry Caray passed away." Rodimus sighed shaking his head.
"So true," the prince nodded.
"What by Hades' horn is going on?" the driver barked as he walked toward them only to be held by gunpoint by Zel. "Hey man, cool I'm human." He said waving his hand up in a gesture of peace.
"Something's not right," Rodimus remarked as he glared at the Driver.
Zel looked at the driver for a moment before he put his gun back into his coat as the Driver gave a sigh of relief. Not even blinking, Zel ripped out a spirit ward and promptly slapped it to the Driver's forehead. The Driver's mouth opened into a scream as mist came pouring out of all his openings as the body went slamming down to the ground. The Mist condensed above the body as it took the shape of a Brass Demon as it stood over the body.
"A lesser demon composed of Mineral xenoform: Low Class Entity," Rodimus remarked as the creature towered over them.
The Brass Demon glared down at them as it roared and conjured a sphere of pure energy into its palm. Leaping into the air, the creature hurled the blast into the nearby barricade of cars and fences. It continued roaring as it hurled blast after blast down. Rodimus took protective cover with the Prince as Zel stood there silently. The image cover he wore faded away revealing his blue stone skin form as he calmly surveyed the rampaging demon.
"I think that's enough," he muttered as he held his palm up toward the creature. "Elmekia Flame!"
Brass Demon blew up real well.
Turning away from the wreckage, Zel walked over to the Prince and Rodimus. The two were currently huddling behind the Viper as they peeked up to look at what happen. The entire area was devastated, the illegal immigrants had fled and there was dead alien corpse on the roadside. Quite a mess they had there.
"See how many problems you cause when you try to bypass the proper channels," Rodimus remarked as the Prince nodded.
"I never thought I was that important to kill," Prince Orion muttered peeping at the damage. "To think they sent both two kind of Assassins to get me."
"Probably from different sources," Zel remarked as he opened the car door. "Aliens and Demons never did get along. Besides, these were the two that managed to get close to you. We already took out the other seven that were on their way."
"Well, thanks for saving me," Prince Orion thanked as he got into the back seat.
"That's what we are here for," Rodimus said as he got into his seat. "It's our duty to ensure that Earth remains a politically safe haven for Aliens. As well as to keep the Demonic forces under control."
"Anyone that gets in our way, we eliminate." Zel stated as he pushed the pedal as they drove off leaving things for the clean up team to take care of and the Cover team to make up a story.
Slowly stepping out from behind several local flora, were three figures dressed in black suits with shades and wide brim hats. They slowly stepped onto the road as they surveyed everything for a moment. The lead one paused for a moment before he pulled out a cell phone and dialed a number.
"They managed to save the Prince,"
"It makes no difference..." the voice on the other line replied. "Ensure that our friends at PIE do not get anymore possible agents. We don't want them to interfere with our current plans."
"Yes sir,"
The Man in Black put the cell phone back into the coat as he signaled for the others to leave now. Like the wind blowing away the dust, there was no trace of their passing.
"Welcome to the Morning News, today we have several interesting tales of conflict along the borders of US and Mexico. State Troopers on a routine sweep of the area for illegal aliens traffickers accidentally encountered an illegal gun shipment from the Mexican Mafia. The situation got ugly leading to the destruction of both parties. The local sheriff department denies any comments of foul play involved and the federal government is undergoing a thorough investigation."
"In other news, The Chicago Cubs play..."
