Lina glanced up at the man that was currently curling up into a ball on the dusty mattress his head covered by a pillow. She frowned; this whole day was filled with one bad thing after the other. First her mom goes back into the hospital then her mom gets sick again and is put into the hospital. And as if that wasn't bad enough she ran into so freak kid who liked to suck blood, and his so called grandson that was made of rock! Finaly all the harshness of reality came crashing down around her and she had to sniffle to stop the tears...Why was life so unfair for her...why was she so alone...
She jumped slightly at the gentle hand on her shoulder; she looked up and met a pair of soft violet eyes. "Don't cry please..." it was that man and he looked truly concerned. "I hate to see young girls cry"
Lina bit her lip "Well you would too...it's not fair!" she felt strong arms wrap around her in a clumsy embrace. "You know talking about it usually helps...and I'm a good listener" Zel really hated it when girls cried...it turned his defenses to putty. Even if the girl in question was a pest.
Tears flowed down her cheeks steadily as she wrapped her arms around rock boy or so she had named him. Crying she related her problems and her fears to him, feeling deep inside that she could trust him.
"My names Zelgadis by the way" he said this quietly all the while his hand stroking her head slowly.
Lina sniffled slightly her legs becoming stiff from kneeling to long on the stone floor... which was surprisingly smooth. "My names Lina...Lina Inverse"
"Well Lina sorry about the rude meeting earlier. Would you like to start again" he smiled slightly at her nod "Well Lina would you like to hear a story?"
Lina nodded mutely, she didn't want to say anything that might break the feeling of safety and security that she was feeling.
"I'm a Chimera/Vampire" he caught her skeptical look. "I will tell you my story...then you will understand"
