navy = flashback
Lina decided to try another tactic, her eyes grew large and watery and her lower lip trembled. Clutching her fists before her face she gave a small sniffle for added effect.
Zel could feel his resolve crumbling as he watched her cute little face scrunch up. Blushing slightly he ducked his head...if she found out what they were arguing about she would giga slave his butt.
Zel tossed another rock leisurely into the lake,
he was tired but it was his turn to be on watch while the others slept. He
heard the approaching footsteps, he didn't bother to reach for his sword...he
didn't need to he knew who it was. The potent smell of flowery perfume gave
the intruder away as being Amelia. He scrunched up his nose in distaste, God
I hope she doesn't spout one of those we were meant to be together speeches...
"Zel..." this was asked hesitantly.
"Yeah" he said nothing more and nothing less not willing to start a
conversation with the love struck princess.
"Zel I have to ask you something and I want you to answer me honestly.."
Amelia was definitely worried about something. And she was being awfully
serious.
"What is it Amelia I'm on watch..." He noticed that she winced at his words.
He hadn't meant to be so short with her but...
"Mr. Zelgadis you know how I feel about you, I just need to know how you feel
about me?" It came out of her mouth so fast he almost missed it.
Sighing he watched her face with it's ever hopeful expression. "I'm sorry
Amelia but you know I don't feel that way for you..."
"Don't apologize to me! You still love her don't you! Well, she doesn't love
you only I do! God why cant you just see that..." her shouting dwindled down
to a sob as she dropped her head into her hands.
Zel stood up his expression angry and cold. "How dare you...How dare you say
that to me!" he was ready to smack her but he refused to hit a
lady...although bending the rule wouldn't be so bad at the moment. "Loving
someone doesn't guarantee you love back!"
No, he definitely didn't want to let Lina know of his argument...
